Pics soon, let me get out from under all this homework. :guilty:

Mom figured out the issue. It's the bobbins. :sad2: Apparently, they require a special bobbin that's a miniscule of a fraction different in size than the ones I had (I compared, and I honestly can't tell the difference in sizes between them). When she pulled out a bobbin from her machine, it worked perfect. Lame. But at least it's not the machine. So now I have to find the bobbins she wrote down. Hoping to get to Hobby Lobby this weekend. I have some projects I need to work on ... my aunt wants a bag, so thought I'd gift her one for her birthday (since it's this month) and I thought I'd make one for Granny (she's my #1 Buddy). DD wants to make one for her cousin ... so if I have time, I will.

But first ...homework. I'm working on a research paper (yay corn! :sad1:), and it's like 30% of my grade, so I have to do it awesomely. Next week is my last week of school, then it's finals. :scared1: So it's not just getting through the homework, it's studying for finals. Only one class I have is actually doing a "final", and it's Marketing. Well, technically English, too. It's an in-class paper. But my Accounting and Information Systems classes are just the last tests over the last chapters in the book. So INFS class is just over Access and Accounting is over chapters 11-13. So it's not too bad for those classes ... but I am worried about English and Marketing. And of course, I have to study for Accounting and INFS test.

Anyway ... an actual update soon, I promise. And pics of the machine. Double-promise! Just let me survive this stuff first. :lmao:

Ahh Best of luck on your papers and finals Liddy! :wizard: This is indeed a tough time of year for students!

Thank you! :flower3:

I'm really not too worried ... because I'm making straight As ... but I'd like to keep those As. :lmao::rotfl2:

Good luck Liddy... I know you'll do well!

Mom's good. :thumbsup2 (Well, she's tired, but who isn't these days? :confused3)

If you want to up your thread count, you can write my PTR for me while I finish this semester's school work. ;)

My next topic will be a full day at MK: 9:00 - 8:00 are the hours and it's a 1.5 -BEST park.

I think we will be at MK the same day.

I'm kind of glad I'm tied up with the end of the semester, plus this week we had my DS's 5th birthday and party, I've been too busy to obsesse over plans.

I'm hoping that the crowds are light that day! :goodvibes If you see us, be sure to say "hi"! I'm always up for a DISmeet! :yay:

Happy Birthday to your DS! Did he ask for a theme party? Did he get any good presents?

I'll have to plan my DS's birthday not long after our WDW trip ... DD's is a few weeks before our trip. :cloud9:

I'm so excited!!!! I finally finished my park bag. Is it perfect? No. But I'm happy with it. The biggest issue was sewing the zipper on. Well ... not actually sewing the zipper on, but in. It's hard to explain. Mom tried one way, and we saw that the zipper was upside down. So we made good use of the seam ripper and tried again. Then seam ripper. Then again. I made some stitching mistakes ... and if you look closely, you can see them ... so don't look closely okay? lol

Here's the front of my bag:

And here's how it hangs on me:

The back is pocket-less and just the Mickey plaid pattern.

I'm so happy about it! Like I said, it's not perfect ... but it was the first time I ever stitched a zipper in, and it caused some visual issues. Not noticeable from a distance, but pretty noticeable up close. But who cares, right? It's MINE!!!!

And this is what I'll be toting in the parks.

OH! There is webbing (nylon strap) inside the strap. It was a PITA to put in ... but it's in. DD's does not have webbing her in strap.

AWESOME! :thumbsup2

Why havent I checked out your PTR yet?!?!? Going to do that now.....:surfweb:

Thank you for the compliment! :goodvibes

And ... why are you here and not packing and bouncing around your house beside yourself with excitement????!! You have slightly over a week! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I am so super jealous! :lmao:

In the last update, I detailed out our first full park day at AK, ending with an early bedtime.

After some sleeps, we'll wake bright and early for our full day at MK! I plan to be at the park within the first 15 minutes of opening, so no later than 9:15am.

The park is open from 9:00 - 8:00 with a TP rating of 1.5 (Best).

Our day will partly depend on what we did and did not accomplish on Sunday. I'm going to write as if we finished all of Tomorrowland and part of Fantasyland.

We will grab FPs for Jungle Cruise and then head to Fantasyland. If we did not get a Dumbo flight Sunday, then I'd like to take one before the lines get too bad. If lines are already bad, we may come back during the parade or something. :confused3 We'll finish up Fantasyland with whatever we didn't get to first ... and if needed, we'll make use of FPs for Pooh and Peter.

After Fantasyland, we'll wander over to Adventureland. We'll ride Pirates and see the new (original?) Enchanted Tiki Room. If lines are manageable, we'll take a flight on Aladdin's carpet.

We'll probably grab lunch at Columbia Harbor House and then head over to Tom Sawyer's Island. We've never been to the island before, so I'm hoping to get to check it out!

We will definitely be skipping the Swiss Family Treehouse (it's nice, but the stairs are rough on DD and my hips). Odds are, we'll skip Splash Mtn, too. If it's really hot, then I may be convinced to ride ... but I hate being wet. I'm part cat, ya know? :cat: We may or may not see Country Bear Jamboree. DH has requested to skip it, but I think the kids would enjoy it. And if we're needing to sit for a bit, we might as well watch something, right?

BTMRR will be closed. So we won't get to ride it. DS said he wanted to ride it ... so darn it! :headache: I may have actually gotten him back on the ride.

If we need a break, we'll see Hall of Presidents, but not real intentions on seeing it again. Not sure if we'll do the Riverboat or not. Guess we'll just wait and see. I'm still wanting to check out the new Haunted Mansion. DD and DH got to see it in May ... but DS chickened out so I waited at the pet cemetary for them to ride.

If we have time, we'll go back and hit up our favorite rides.

Dinner will be at 5:40pm at 1900 Park Fare. I'm super excited for this one! I know this will be right up both kid's alley ... DD loves Cindy, I love villains, and DS loves to flirt. We all win! :lmao:

Anyway, after dinner, we'll go back to the park until just before close. We won't be watching the parade, Wishes, or MSEP. I'm not even sure if they're showing that night... I haven't even checked. I'd like to be at the resort around 8pm to rest up for the next day.

Some more MK pictures for your enjoyment!

Just a mental note for everyone - even though this isn't my PTR - this is our arrival day, and if we decide to go into any park it will be MK or DHS. :lovestruc

ACK... I can't believe you've never been to TSI... It's pretty cool and a really nice break from the hustle and bustle of MK. :thumbsup2

[BTMRR will be closed. So we won't get to ride it. DS said he wanted to ride it ... so darn it! :headache: I may have actually gotten him back on the ride.

I am not happy about this one either. It was closed for refurb the first time we went. It was open last time - so we rode it dozens of times - and now it's closed again. :confused3 I think Disney is just trying to torment us. :rolleyes1

We have never done HoP or the Riverboat - so those are on our must do list. Along with everything else in the park. :thumbsup2

I am so super jealous! :lmao:

:rotfl: Maybe I have been here already!

AND I am NOT packing until this weekend. (well maybe in a few days...like...tomorrow) BUT I am in almost like a disbelief that my trip is in NINE DAYS! :scared1:

And dont be jealous! By the time your trip rolls around (and it will come sooner than you think!) I'll be jealous of you! :rotfl:

If it's MK, we need to go grab a pretzel or something. :thumbsup2

Thanks for quoting my Birnbaum. :lmao: Every year we say we'll do it, and every year we run out of time.

I agree.

We have never done HoP or the Riverboat - so those are on our must do list. Along with everything else in the park. :thumbsup2

HoP was actually pretty cool. The kids enjoyed it. Plus, it was quiet, A/C'ed, and comfy chairs. I can see why people would nap there ... but the show is actually good. The Riverboat was nice ... I ended up sitting down on the deck and just looking at what I could see from my side of the boat. I was worn out, so it was nice to be off my feet and have a slight breeze. The story was nice, but couldn't hear most of it because the kids kept asking me questions. "What's that? Is that a real deer?" :lmao:

Sounds perfect. :thumbsup2

So tomorrow is a few days away? Wow, I better get rolling ... that means Finals were probably yesterday! :scared1: :lmao::rotfl2:

Well, if you plan it right (and take forever like I did), you'll still be writing your TR by the time my trip rolls around, so you'll be reliving yours all over again! Plus, you can live vicariously through us and our live updates. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Love the plans...sounds perfect! I probably won't plan out our days nearly as much as this since it's just DH and myself. We are really going to try to just tour at our own pace, hoping the light crowds will make that pretty easy. We are definitely disappointed that we won't be doing BTMRR though...so I guess it's a good thing we will be returning in November! ;)

I don't blame you for not planning out days as much as others since it's just you and your DH. :thumbsup2 I can't wait until those days. :lmao:

Can I tag along in your suitcase or something in November for a BTMRR ride? :confused3

Sounds like a great day! Wish I knew more about the parks so I could plan a little more, but I just don't remember enough about them from way back when and I'm sure things have changed alot too. Just going to go with the flow and see where we are and what we want to do. I'm sure we will miss some things, but all the more reason to book a return trip :)

I'm bummed that BTMRR is going to be closed too :( And Dumbo will be down while I am there too!
