March 20, 2010*** Mickey's Magic Matey's Cruise the Western!***

Can I tell you people we were looking at pirate costumes on line for DD and she picked the Elizabeth costume from pirates of the caribbean? I can't talk her out of it. If any of you need pirate costmes I found a site with inexpensive costumes, $2.99 shipping - http://www.costumecraze.com/

Disneymom92:
I still haven't heard from you with cabin numbers and we set February 20 as the cut off. We assumed you were out since we didn't hear back from you. So if you are in we need cabin numbers ASAP - I've gotten several emails from others who need to get goodies together if you are participating.

If I don't hear back from you by tomorrow (March 5) we assume you are out.
Thanks much!
Angela

Heigh Ho! Heigh Ho! It's almost time to go! (I don't sound as cute as the seven dwarfs though when I sing this tune!) And I do apologize for my annoying excitement!!

I just wanted to make sure others saw the thread below. It is a phone call from a character. I plan on doing this and wanted to make sure everyone knew about it. Glance through the whole thread because there is an error on the first few posts!

Is anyone in our group into scrapbooking?? Just Curious.

I like scrapbooking. I've get some layout done for this trip already.

I have been scrapbooking like mad (I am currently on Summer 2009, which for me is pretty good because I am usually about a year behind). As soon as I get home from this cruise though, I am starting this trip because I know it will be an album all by itself. I have been collecting some ideas and supplies- of course! We should share our pages as we finish them. We could even post them on this thread to share with everyone (unless they close this thread down after the cruise??)

Just got my fish extender from gradysmommy and it turned out so wonderful! Just had to share! Only 2 weeks to go! Can't wait!:cheer2:

At least in two weeks when I can't sleep, I will have the beauty of the Magic to explore.

Nice FE Janelle! I give you permission to laugh at ours when you see it. Sewing machines are not my friend. :confused3 I should have let my mom make them!

That is a great FE! Well, mine will not win any ribbons and I'm not even certain it will make it through the cruise but if trying counts then it is golden. I was just happy I didn't put the sewing machine needle through my finger!

Everyone send warm weather vibes to Florida...

I knew I couldn't make a FE extender myself without 500 hours of extreme frustration and no less than 7 trips to Hobby lobby so I decided to take the easy route and order it!
Can't wait!

What type of clothing is everyone packing? I had planned on shorts for the day or sundresses etc. (My girls have managed to out grow most of their capris, they won't stop growing :)). Now I am second guessing that decision based on the weather forecast for next week. (I realize that it is still one week early) Just curious what everyone else is doing? Does anyone have experience cruising this time of year?

Since living here in the WDW area and going through the worst winter ever here, although I normally wouldn't pack like this for a 3/20 cruise, I'm taking a few sweatshirts and long jeans. I think we'll be fine in Cozumel and Caymans but the first day at Key West and the last day in the Bahamas (Castaway Cay) COULD be in the 60's. I'm hoping and praying it's in the upper 70's and above for the whole cruise but after going through what we've gone through the past three months, who knows!!

In case anyone was interested in Dolphin Discovery in Cozumel, I just checked and they were opened up so you could finally book them.

Since we have a 3 year old we were limited on which dolphin excursions we could sign up for and they weren't available when I had checked before.

Anyone else doing this excursion?

Arkansasmom - thanks for the heads up. We wanted to do this but it was closed when we were 75 days out. I just changed from Dolphinaris last night. We wanted the Dolphin Discovery so we can have the beach/swimming time at the park after.

Angela - feel like switching or are you sticking with Dolphinaris?

Michelle - thanks! I set this up for tonight with Mickey. Woo hoo!:goodvibes

Hi all, I'm getting so excited. Can't wait to meet all of you. Thank you for the well wishes and pixie dust after I announced that my son would be having a major surgery. He had his surgery last Wednesday and is recovering quickly but will be sporting a couple scars. We're all ready for a vacation after this.

Michelle and Angela, please PM me the FE list. I don't have enough posts to PM you or return your PM to me. In case you missed my room number from a previous post, it's 7098.
Thanks!! Brenda

Be sure to pack a couple pairs of long pants and a jacket for the kids. It can get chilly on the ledo deck when the ship starts moving.

Sounds like most are doing the dolphins in Cozumel. We are doing Grand Cayman because my daughter is a few weeks shy of 8, which is the age she had to be for the Cozumel excursion we wanted. It is only 5 or older for almost the same thing at Grand Cayman. Unless things are different at Dolphin Discovery?? Too bad, because it would have been fun to join others from our group. We just need pixie dust for good weather that day, because it sounds like they have been very careful with tendering into Grand Cayman since the Magic mishap last month. I will have one very sad daughter if we don't make it to swim with the dolphins. Actually, l change my mind. We just need pixie dust for good weather every day on our cruise.
:tink::tink::tink:

Everyone don't forget, we will meet at 3pm on Saturday, March 20 at the PROMENADE LOUNGE on deck 3!!!

Hello, All. Still thinking warm thoughts (and packing a jacket. darn).

I moved us to the Cozumel Dolphin Discovery at 9:45. Thanks for all who let me know it opened up and hopefully we will see you at the same time. Anyone else take that spot? I also want to enjoy the park after the swim.

Michelle, we are doing dolphins in Cozumel because my daughter can't wait another day for Grand Cayman. I'm sorry we won't be with you!

So close! So much to pack!
Angela
