March 20, 2010*** Mickey's Magic Matey's Cruise the Western!***

Hi Teena,
This is our first Disney Cruise too and I ordered the Passporter for the cruise because the regular WDW Passorter has been so helpful when we visit almost every year. I ordered with the discount code as well from their website and if you order online on their site you have the opportunity to read the E-Book version right away, so you can get a head start on planning. They don't have the 2010 version available until April so it would need to be the 2009 edition.

I love the Beach Club too!! We stayed last June in the villas since we are DVC members on the first part of our trip then moved to Animal Kingdom Villas for a couple of nights. Storm Along Bay is the best!
Have a wonderful vacation and congratulations to your daughter.
We are celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversry.

Darlene:wave2:

I hope to meet alot of you on the cruise. This is definitely not our first Disney cruise. I feel like the Magic is my second home. However, it's only the second on the Magic for my daughter and the first for her boyfriend.

Congrats on your anniversary.

Hope to see and meet you soon!

Teena,
Sorry I misread your post. Well I'm glad you have enjoyed past cruises enough to come back many times over. I hope we will also be repeat cruisers on the DCL. I expect this will be a lot of fun and it will be nice to meet people.
Thank you for the congrats.

All apologies for my error - we will meet at 3pm on Saturday, March 20 at the PROMENADE LOUNGE on deck 3 not Preludes. All my guide reading and obsessing has turned my brain to mush.

Once again - meet at the Promenade Lounge. I don't want to have anyone in the wrong place and miss the meet!

If you see me on board DO NOT ask me for directions:lmao:

Thank you for the well wishes from everyone with my aunt's passing (it was my grandpa's sister so technically she was my great aunt- and a great aunt she was :goodvibes) . She was 88 years old, had a good life, and is in a better place now.

On a positive note- only 3 weeks :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Is it possible for us to have two meets? If the weather is nice, DD is going to be swimming for sure and I'd hate to pull her from the pool. But, I want her to meet some of the other kids in our group. More than likely she will go to the Oceaneers club on the 20th after dinner (early seating). Will anyone else's kids be going at that time? Can we arrange a time for the kids to meet if we can't get to the first meet? This is just a suggestion.

Michelle and I PMed each other about the time and place for a meet and there doesn't seem to be a "answer." The pool closes at 3:30 to get everyone out and ready for the mandatory safety drill. So we thought 3pm before the drill would be a good time and everyone would be on board. We eliminated meeting at the pool because many reports said it is complete chaos so meeting with a group was nearly impossible. Anyone with other ideas are most welcome. We know I have trouble even naming where I'm supposed to be and I called it!

I called and here's what's playing on our cruise:

the new Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland (this is why I called because we really want to see it)

The Princess and the Frog
When in Rome
Old Dogs
Toy Story 1 and 2

plus the usual Disney faves playing poolside and at the theater

I am sooo happy! I really want to see When in Rome.

If anything, if we couldn't get DD away from the pool, then I was just going to go down and meet you all. Meeting at the pool is chaotic! We did that last year and we could barely hear each other. I was also getting over a sinus infection so I was hoarse anyway. The people on the last cruise have no idea what my real voice sounds like.:goodvibes

Also, our cruise was freezing. Exact same dates in March last year, it was sooo windy. I didn't even set foot in the pool on our cruise or at WDW. I don't know how my DD and DH did it.

If DD doesn't come to the meet, I think I will make her because she loves making new friends, then I'll just arrange separate meets for her and the other kids.

Mariei@japan-
Can you PM me with your email address again? I'm getting a weird error message and can't open it. Thank you!

Oh good news! I want to see Alice but not sure we'll have time before we leave!

The last 3 years have been trips to WDW and cruising in January and contrary to popular belief, Florida can be JUST as cold as Illinois in January!!:rotfl: Our pics of us bundled up in hats, mittens and scarves in front of the castle make for an interesting scrapbook! I was HOPING maybe by doing late March we could be WARM. Here's some pixie dust for our cruise!! pixiedust:

So excited about the movies playing!

Angela and Michelle, hope you are getting all the info you need from everyone! Thanks again for your organization and planning!

Well, last March, I kept wondering what was worse - blistering heat or chilly. Florida was already chilly at the beginning of the week. Once we were on the ship and the ship wasn't moving, it was fine. But when it moved it was definitely chilly. I was glad I packed a jacket and long pants. Once we were in port, Nassau and Castaway Cay had perfect weather - warm but we weren't overheated. The ocean was cold, but that did not stop us from swimming!

Now that we are inside of 3 weeks, it's pretty exciting, even though we have been on so many cruises. I have been totally absent on this board and for that I apologize.

We are not making any plans this year, no excursions. The kids (DS, 14, DD, 17) might do something on CC but may not depending on what the other teens are doing. They will most likely stay up all night and sleep the better part of the day, but otherwise they are keeping their options open.

We do want to participate in the FE. I have not forwarded our cabin numbers to the person who PM'd but I will soon. It's on my home computer and I only seem to have time to access at work for some reason.

In case anyone was interested in Dolphin Discovery in Cozumel, I just checked and they were opened up so you could finally book them.

Since we have a 3 year old we were limited on which dolphin excursions we could sign up for and they weren't available when I had checked before.

Anyone else doing this excursion?

thanks so much for posting this! This is the dolphin activity I really wanted to do with my kids!!!!! I had been checking to see if it opened! Yay!! We are doing the 9:45 am one! :cool1:
