March 20, 2004

Hi Everyone,
I am getting excited. I have the shoe bag for over the door and I read on the boards to put the boys outfits in a plastic bag for less wrinkles and I can hand them a bag and the socks and underwear will be included. They will be ready to go.

My question is that I just got a digital camera for Christmas. This little Canon Elph with really no zoom, but it is small and easy to carry around. I just bought a 256mb flashcard at Costco and wonder how many pictures I can expect to get??

My other question is that I read in one of the Navigators that you can have Shutters download the pictures to CD. I did not hear that anyone actually had this done so do you think it is possible. I only have a 32mb and a 16mb...so any advice?

One more question..what is the kind of underwater camera from Target that you recommend? I thought that was a great idea for the boys at the beach!

My boys are both home today with the flu so maybe they are building up some resistance to the Norwalk Virus for the Cruise. This was the day that I was going to search for their little blue blazers, oh well.....Thank goodness they are not too bad, just tired enough to want to be on the couch, not moving and watching cartoons.
thanks for your help in advance,
Dawn (Counting the days):wave2:

OOPs I meant to post this with my March 20th meet! sorry

OOPs,
I meant to post a thread to our group but it end up as a new post. Does anyone know how to move it?
thanks,
Dawn

Try emailing one of the webmasters for their help. They probably could help. Kathy

Thanks. We will plan to use calling cards from port then. Hope your TA gets home soon, a tan for her and docs for you :sunny:

I am still waiting patiently (all right IMPATIENTLY) for our docs to come. It is grey and cold and wet here....I can hardly wait to cruise.

Well, no docs but hey, temps tomorrow in the 40's!!!!! This is something to be excited about because it means Spring is getting closer and so is the cruise! Kathy

It looks like there is a new DVD version for DCL with new footage of the ship. I ordered it for fun...maybe it will arrive before the cruise, maybe even before my DOCS!!! Here is the link if you like.

The UPS man goes by twice each day and it is all I can do to not wave him down to tell him this is the right place.

I got a new carry on bag with wheels for Valentine's Day so no more giving hubby that look when he forgets to offer to help carry the bag with half of his stuff in it as we run through the airport for a flight that does not leave for over an hour. I don't know why I did not think of this years ago. He is so romantic and smart!

Counting the days and packing stuff in piles for the big day.

A new DCL DVD sounds fun, I want one:happy1: !

I just called Radisson and had them put down my credit card on my reservation for March 19th. I thought I had to pay by today but they don't charge until you check in.

Hope everyone who doesn't have them yet gets their docs today :sunny:

We wanted to stay at the Radisson, but it is actually OVERSOLD for that night, (when I called directly) so if any of you are staying please be sure to get that reservation guaranteed! :) I was told a group of some type was coming in.
We are staying at the Hyatt Airport since we get in around 7:30pm.
We are staying at the Radisson for one night after we get off the ship on Saturday.

ps. I am the same one that was told the Magic was soldout for this cruise and it was not...so I may just be jinxed.

I made the reservation on line last year sometime and had written down in my notes to pay on Feb. 18. They took down my credit card info today and gave me a confirmation number. Is that guaranteed enough or should I be worried?

Strawberryblond,
I would not worry, the hotels generally overbook just like the airlines because they know there will be no-shows. Especially if they are holding rooms for a group. If they do need to turn people away they will usually turn those away first that did not guarantee their rooms and then those that arrive late. If you are getting in late I would just call sometime that day to verify that you will be arrivings after a "certain" time.

Hope that helps.
Dawn

Yes, we will be getting in later as we will be driving all day. I will call ahead to make sure of getting our room. Thanks for your help :sunny:

:sunny: :sunny: We're having a heat wave!!! It got to 44 degrees today....first time we've been above freezing in 31 days and the warmest it has been since late November. This is very good medicine for my spring fever. But the Disney Magic will be the cure!!!!! :sunny: :sunny:

We are having a tropical heat wave here in the midwest! Day two in the mid-40's!!!! The melt down is happening fast which means--the cruise is only 29 days away! :bounce: I can hear the tropical music now. Oh yes, no docs :( .
Kathy

:bounce: :bounce: It seems like quite a few on our cruise have already received them about 2 weeks ago, but I know there are still others that have not....I don't know when and with whom you booked. I booked a year ago with TA and made final payment back in Jan.....TA did not think I would be getting them right away and they came that week. I am sure yours will be arriving soon!!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

One month from today March 19th, at this time, I will be working from home and trying to work and get the last minutes work things taken care of, finishing the last few items to pack, calling a cab, gathering the 'on the plane and carryon things", waiting for the DS's to come home from school.. AND LEAVING FOR THE AIRPORT........Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called DVC today, who in turn called DCL who told the rep that my docs had just been printed today, so should expect them next Tuesday. That seems slow, and late, to me. But I will wait.
