March 17th 3 day cruise anyone?

Looks like the group is growing! Myself, DW and DS3 will be joining you!!!

As long as I can get out of here... ahhhhh, love those 32 hour 'round the world flights! :teeth:

Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!! Got our documents today via UPS!!! Yes, that would be fun to meet on the cruise sounds like my daugter will have a few girls her age in this small group of people going on this cruise :rotfl2: Just kidding, I am sure the boat will have more people. Since we have never been on the ship I am not sure how to meet ya. Our plans are: We arrive in Orlando at 6:30am the day of the cruise with transportation by DCL to Cape Canaveral and we will be having lunch on the ship. Let me know if there is a good place for people to meet. :hourglass

Oh Mi Gosh! Look at our counters! Ours is lower because we are actually leaving early to visit with DH's parents for a couple of days before heading down to Orlando. We are planning to arrive in Orlando on the 16th and are going to be staying at POR that night. Then will be driving to the port the morning of the 17th. This is our first cruise so I'm not sure when the best time to get together would be. Since we do have kids that are close in age and will probably be in the same kids clubs it might be nice to let them meet early on so they "know" someone in the kids clubs if they go. I know mine won't be there an extended amount of time but they are excited to try them out and I'm excited to try out the comedy club. :rotfl2:

I'm planning on getting to the terminal early.... since there are so few of us... maybe we should wear our lime green? Then we could say.. Hey is that you! :teeth:

Any ideas?

Don't own any lime green :teeth: , but we I am 5'10" my DH is 6'3" and my DD11 is 5'5". We will be the pale ones, since we are from the NW :umbrella: and we should be at the port at around 10:30am. My DD is all for meeting some kids so that when she is in the lab, she won't feel alone. So, she will be happy to meet your DD and WorldlyWise's DD11 if they want. As for how long she will be in those labs, probably only in the later evenings, as me and DH will want some grown up time. For the other times, I know she wants to try the family free throw contest on the courts, and do family things, afterall what is Disney there for :earsboy: Do you all have early or late dinner seatings?

We are waitlisted for early dining... so I guess there is a chance that we could end up with either one. I'd prefer early if possible but won't complain as long as I get to eat.

We will be trying to arrive at the terminal near you DisneyFamFan and yes we are excited to do some of the family events. The karaoke sounds fun! DD12 is looking forward to meeting some of the other DD's.

We will be the other pale family :wave2: It's still cold :cold: here in the midwest so haven't been able to get outside much. If you hear someone saying "Austin" alot.... that's us. :teeth:

Well it's time to start packing the bags. I bought the Bonine already and have started to pack my travel bag.

Of course you won't be the only ones calling out to "austin"!!! I guess we just doubled the odds of finding some of our fellow posters!

Cruise documents arrived today. Wooo Hooo this calls for a dancing banana! ok maybe two

Two weeks from today we will be on the Wonder!!! :cheer2:

Funny! We've got an Austin too! I guess the boys aren't going to have a difficult time remembering each others names!

We have our docs and are ready to go.

Any last minute tips or suggestions from seasoned cruisers? This is our first time. pirate: :cheer2: :rolleyes1

Looked at the calendar today and boy was I excited :cheer2: !!!!!! Ten days now until we hop on the plane east from the NW to beautiful :sunny: . Hope everyone is getting excited

It's definitly Dancing Banana time

I'm in full packing mode. We leave Friday afternoon to drive to Cincinnati and then drive down from there on Tues morning arriving at POR Weds afternoon. We always start the vacation off with an evening with Bob Jackson. :cool1:

Then Thurs morning it's off to the port. :moped: and :cloud9:

Which deck is everyone on? We are on 6.

shall we try to meet up somewhere?... has anyone done a DIS Cruise meet before or are we all newbies :teeth:

DH is back to the US and we are all very excited. He gets home next week. WHEW... just in time!!!

I'm so happy and excited I don't even thing the crowds will be a downer. :crowded:

Woo-Hoo!!!
Deck seven for us.
I'm beyond the calendar at this point. I should be flying across Europe in 168 hours!! (Uh, not that I'm counting... :teeth: )

This is our first Disney cruise but have been on a few others. Our last one was this past October for my R&R and the embarkation terminal seemed to be used as a "holding pen" until we were allowed to board. I'm sure this would be similar?

Kim- So close and yet so far huh? I was hoping your husband was home already. To celebrate his stateside arrival, here's something you'd appreciate!>>>>>>>

LOL! Thanks for the dancing Banana!!!

He actually got back March 1st after a 12 hour weather delay. Then due to an over-abundance of returned soldiers they moved his outprocessing back a week. He should have been home yesterday now he should be home mid weekish ?? Which made me VERY nervous!! Two more days and we'd have been sweating pretty hard! Where's the WHEW! smilie when you need one?

Doesn't look like you are counting a bit. :rolleyes1

Have a safe flight over.

We are on Deck 7. I have never been on a cruise before, so I am a newbie too. Don't know how the dis meets work. Glad your hubby is stateside, Landmark, and will send pixie dust that he will be home by mid week. Hope all goes just as well for you Woody 87 for your stateside travel.

We are on the March 17 Wonder cruise, and are from Austin. We're doing the 7 day Land/Sea, and will be at the Beach Club for the four days prior. My wife and I will be traveling with our six year old daughter who has never been on a cruise. It's been ten years since we have been on a cruise - and that was for our honeymoon!

We're on Deck 5.

Hook'Em: We are also doing the 7-day Land/Sea package, staying at the Beach Club, going on the March 17 Wonder, on Deck 5, AND WE'RE FROM TEXAS TOO! (What's that Disney saying about it being a small world?)

This is our "Family-Moon." DH and I got married this past Saturday :love2: , and we are taking my wonderful new 10-year-old stepson with us.

This is my first cruise but DH is a sailor, so I'm sure I'll hear all about what the civilians are doing wrong!

At any rate, can't wait!!

Welcome aboard Spuds and Hookem!

Looks like the "Austin" and "Texas" crowd is growing :thewave: Woo-Hoo!!

Well with less than a week to go we found the documents we need to prove our American citizenship. I was afraid I was going to be spending some time getting new ones at the Texas Dept of Health so we could go on our cruise!

We booked the Dolphin Encounter at Nassau since our daughter loves feeding and petting them at Sea World in San Antonio. I'd really like for her to get to ride a catamaran so it was a tough choice.

Just 3 days until we fly to Orlando for our stay in the Beach Club, and 7 until we are sailing on the Wonder!

Looking forward to meeting the rest of ya'll!
