March 17, 2013 - 4 Night Bahamian Cruise

The spreadsheet has been updated with DBarber's names. Just an FYI.

However, still have not heard one word from SnoopyInIowa or Angela911....

Got it thanks, now I can finish my FE gifts! No cruise docs yet:( My husband did get a $210.00 photo radar fine in the mail today though! I am not happy as that is $210.00 less that I can spend on mouse gear! Hopefully traffic school will be less money than the fine but somehow I doubt I will get that lucky. I am sooooooo in need of a vacation! 37 days till I am on a plane to Florida:banana::banana::banana:

OUCH! on the fine...and bad Disney! I bet those docs will be there soon....

Vacation coming right up! And since this is February, no extra days....when we hit the 17th, then only 4 more weeks!

Do the cruise docs for the different levels of castaway club vs no castaway club get mailed at different times? I got mine (silver cc) but have not yet received the cruise docs for my parents ( who are first timers). Just wondering if that might be reason some have received and some have not.

Good question, but I really don't know - if you happen to call DCL can you let us know?

I talked to my TA about a couple of things today and she said she gets them from Disney then sends them to me but she has not gotten them yet. I would imagine that because you got to register before us first timers, you would get your documents earlier then us first timers! I will just have to be patient I guess (I don't do patient well). Hopefully my FE I ordered will be here soon and that will have to hold me.

I am just now finding this site while researching some planning/packing tips. We are a family of five from St. Louis. Kids are Boy-15 and Girls-6 and 3. In the hour I have been reading threads I have learned so much and now feel totally overwhelmed. :) I think the FE sounds incredibly fun and would love to join. I will try to figure out how to message the admin of this thread to join. My little ones would think that is the neatest thing. Looks like I'm going to be a busy mama!!!!!

Also, I would love to meet other families that have a teen boy and/ or young girls. I know my teen is going to want to party in the teen lounges thing all day and night.

So flipping excited!

Just booked this cruise this morning - only myself and DH will be going - kids already had plans to spend Spring Break with grandma and grandpa. This will be our first DCL cruise without the kids.......

Has anyone started an FE group? If not, I'd be willing to head that up for this cruise if anyone is interested at all.........

Look forward to meeting all of you and having a great time.....

Beverly
I just joined the thread and would love to participate in the FE, although I'm still learning what all that entails. Do I need to order something from DCL to participate?

Thank you!

We did close the FE group on the 31st, but I am asking all here if they would be able to add you....I can as I've not made my gifts yet. We also have two other families that have not confirmed participation, but they have until Friday to do so.....

How about it folks?

And no, DCL is not involved in the FE stuff at all. When I get to a computer, I can post s link or two to other threads about FE's.....

JUST KIDDING.
Not a problem with me.

Confirmation of FE Participation!

Since I've posted this to the list, I've not heard a word. We do not have cabin numbers for these participants either......

Unless things change by Friday, I will leave it up to you all whether or not to include them in your FE.

Personally, I will bring things for them, but will not distribute to them unless there is an actual FE hanging outside their door (if I can even figure out where that is??)

Thanks to everyone else who has taken the time to respond, it's most appreciated and makes this job easier! :thumbsup2

What a fun trip you have planned. BLT is one of our home resorts. Would love to hear about the grand villa. We have stayed at BLT in a two bedroom a couple of times and absolutely love it.

And yes, I hope the weather is nice for you too to be able to use the pool. Have a great trip! :goodvibes

In reading back thru these posts I just saw this again....

Just wanted to let you know that the Grand Villa was truly an awesome room. There was so much room in there, we had no problem with four kids five and under to have room to wear off some morning energy.

It was also great to be able to get right to the fireworks observation deck from the second floor of the room. We didn't have to go all the way downstairs to take the elevator up, we just walked up to our bedrooms on the 2nd floor, out our hallway door and out to the deck. Very convenient and time saving, especially with all of the little ones.

We didn't have an MK view, but the lake was truly beautiful both in the morning and the evening. The two-story tall windows made the view that much more spectacular and we got to watch the electrical water parade as often as we wanted to from our balconies.....

Nice too to have individual "private" balconies in order to grab a little quiet time if we had to get away from the kids for a few minutes. There was one off the kitchen, one off the master bedroom (our room), and one off one of the upstairs bedrooms.

thanks for the first hand review! We always end up staying at Shades of Green cause I just can't justify the expense staying anywhere else! I want to stay a a couple of the resorts some time soon but trying to talk DH into spending the money has been difficult. We will be there again after the cruise for three nights. 30 more days till I am on a plane! (Can't tell I'm excited or anything can you?)
