Also, once the deadline is done and you have the complete list of people in on the FE... could some "instructions" be sent out? Specifically... please tell me

1. Do gifts need to be a certain theme? (travel related, disney related)

2. Any rules to what can be included? (only handmade, $ amount maximum, food items, practical, etc)

3. Should we be doing a gift for each member listed, in each stateroom? Or one big family gift?

4. At some point I assume we will get each other's stateroom numbers. If someone has a change to their # upon checkin, will we have a system for notifying each other?

Hello everyone -

This is our first DIS cruise and first cruise for my DD's, ages 8 and 11. We are surprising the kids for Spring Break and cannot wait to tell them! I think that my kids would love doing the FE list. We are traveling with another family also and I will pass on the information to them so they can get in quickly. Can't wait!!

On our last cruise, we had people who signed up for the FE but either canceled the cruise or switched to a different one without telling us. So now that we are past the date to cancel without penalty....please PM me that you are still participating along with the info below.

My DD loves to pin trade and had tons of them. On our past 4 days, they traded every night. I looked at someone's post on another board with their Navigator's for a 7 day and I only saw one night for pin trading, ugh! DD (and parents too) will be wearing hers or trying to carry them around with us. If anyone wants to trade, just let us know where you want to meet up. She has a great selection, from many Christmas and Birthdays, AND every time she sees some...

my boys love to pin trade too. i planned to bring maybe 10 along for each of them and just do the organized pin trading events. i would think for a 7 night cruise there'd be more than one event set up? if not, i guess we figured we'd just do what was offered plus look around for CM's wearing pins in gift shops.

after our first trip to disney (i'm a cruise newbie but i'd consider myself a WDW veteran by now) i started binders for my kids. i bought the felted black refill pages (from disney, they're just like the pin cards from the store but 8.5x11). for each trip i give them (let them earn from chores, etc) about 15-20 before the trip. then they trade with those pins. the special ones i buy them get locks on the backs. and then when we return home all those pins get kept and saved in the binder and the next trip they start out with new ones. i think of it as their pin scrapbook. one year my son looked for all pirate themed. another year all stitch themed. =)
