March 17, 2007 7 Day Eastern

Sima. . .what time is your parasail at CC? We are at 10:30 (it's 10 or 10:30). This will be the 3rd time for Paul and me and the 2nd time for Stacy. . . it is a favorite at CC for us.

Not sure what we are going to do on St Maarten. More often than not, we usually do things on our own. We may try to spend the morning on the beach and spend the afternoon shopping. We've picked up some great deals on recent cruises.

On St. Thomas, we'll rent a car or jeep and catch the ferry over to St John. Beaches are gorgeous!

Sima,
Does your son play any sports in Hoover? Maybe we can get the boys together before the cruise

Sima,

We will be parasailing for the first time at Castaway Cay also!!! We scheulded it on our Decmeber cruise a few years ago due to the weather so I hope it is a go this time. It will be me and my DD16 --- she is excited and I get butterflies everytime I think about it!!! Everyone says it is great and we will love it. We are going at 1:30.

Greentad --- I think we have the same plan in mind that you do for St. Martin, play on the beach, lunch (probably on the ship), then shopping.

I can't believe the cruise is getting so close ---- so many things to do, so little time. We all need to try on our formal stuff and see if everything fits okay and both the girls need shoes, no telling what else........:scared1:

Char...we're parasailing at 11:30. It'll be me and my son. I'm so afraid he's going to chicken out.:sad2: I guess we'll see you and Stacey coming back in all excited and that will cheer him up!

Irish Cowboy...my son plays soccer in the fall for Hunter Street. It's really the only sport he likes. He plays the drums and between paying for that and his little sister's activities that's about all he'll get to do until fall soccer starts back up! We do go out to Pump it Up and the Jump Zone and let the kids run around. That might be an idea!

Seven weeks guys! I remember thinking 10 weeks...then 9 weeks...I can't believe it's almost here! :cool1:

I wish I could feel that tropical breeze! Here in Kansas it is more like an Alaskan breeze right now!:sad2: The forecasters are saying we will be very cold until mid-February. I will need this cruise by the time March rolls in! I'm a BIG baby when it comes to cold weather.;)

I hear you Susan!! It was 3 when we went to church this morning and 4 when we came home. BRRRRR!

Yesterday our swim team held it's big invatational meet. It was the first time Andy stayed with a non-family member. I survived without him but just barely.

I have a lot of shopping to do before the cruise. Flip-flops, swim suits, etc. etc. I got a Land's End catalog the other day, maybe I'll sop from it while sitting in front of my fireplace today.

IrishCowboy - or anyone who knows, if we take the ferry to St John, how much time does that leave at the beach when you get there? What is the process for finding and getting on the ferry??
Thanks for the help!

Happy Monday everyone!!

Our goal is to be on the 9:00am ferry to St John. We are usually on the beach by 9:40. We return to St Thomas on the 1:00pm or 2:00pm ferry. Last time we did this, we even had time to return for lunch on ship, showered and did a little bit of shopping.

So, is it fairly easy then to find the ferry when you get off the ship? Do you know how much they charge per person? I'm very interested in this as I hear the beaches in St. John are FANTASTIC!!

Hello,

We are Jeff and Kathy and DD DJ (16). Counting down the days until our 8th Cruise with Disney. Looking forward to meeting new people as well.

:welcome: Beaker1967!!!

We are myself, DH, DD16 and DD14 from the COLD midwest!!!!! We are freezing here today --- high is supposed to be 20!!!

Welcome Beaker1967!:thumbsup2

Not trying to outdo the rest of the nation, but it's currently -8F in MN; but the sun is out! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Come on March!

On a different note, we've got our one DS 9 corresponding with several other cruisers of his age;

Now, does anyone out there have any DS 11's cruising on the same boat? We need to find him a couple of buddies before cruise time!:surfweb:

Welcome Beaker1967! We are another family freezing to death here in the midwest!;) It will be myself, DH, DD(11), and DS(8). This will be our second cruise, and we can't wait!:cool1:

Im so sorry to hear that your freezeing but its cold here in florida as well... and Hope that March 17th will bring some warmth our way sipping on yet a cold conch cooler or a BBC will help the cool down yet again....LOL.....Think warm happy thoughts and click your heals 3 times and say they is no place like the cruise ship...  ...... I cant wait.....Its going to be a blast..

Jeff

and Yes I know im off my ticker.. I just dont remember how to fix it....lol.... but we are on the 17th cruise and spent 3 hours on the phone today and booked the repo eastbound cruise as well.... I have to start saving now...OK maybe only 8 drinks per day on the 17th cruise...LOL

I really have to start saving now too, so I'll also be having a few less drinks on our eastern cruise.;) We booked the Thanksgiving Costa Maya cruise for 2008 with a double dip to CC.:cool1: I hope we like Costa Maya. It goes there and to Cozumel. We've never been to either, so we're excited about it. The price was good--a lot less than cruising over our Christmas break, so that is why we booked it. I'm hoping to rebook the same cruise while on our March cruise and then cancel our existing one if the onboard offer is better. I just wanted to go ahead and book because I was afraid the prices might go up quickly since the cruise is over Thanksgiving week.:confused3 Have a great rest of the week!
Susan

Hi all, I just read that a couple of you are from bham. We are too! I have 5 sons ages 5,6,9,13, and 15. Looking foward to meeting all of you.

Now that my son is corresponding with someone regarding the trip, my daughter wants an email buddy. She will be 7 in April. Does anyone have any girls near her age that would want to email a friend prior to the trip??
