March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

I just got off the phone with DCL. I got a price for our next trip. She said it could be put on hold till March 7th. If it was on hold, I couldn't get the benefits from booking onboard. It all had to be done on the ship. Oh well, I will cross my fingers. I know the room #'s we want and the price now. I will just have to get there quickly!!!

That's weird!! Maybe calling back and getting a more experienced CM? Here is the part on my email confirmation showing it's held until March 12...
Deposit: $897.40 Due Date/Time: 12-Mar-2011 11:59 PM Eastern Time

FINAL PAYMENT: $3,946.45 Due Date/Time: 25-Jun-2012 11:59 PM Eastern Time

Cruise Cancellation Fees Begin: 26-Jun-2012

The 50% deposit and discount will really help! :)

I guess that means I am out of time to lose that 50 pounds I planned to lose before the cruise. Don't think it will happen even if I do the happy dance every day from now until we leave.

Yeah 50 pounds may be out of the question now. Oh well there is always next time!

Same for me... he said it would have to be a different ressie on board, and that I could not hold a room and then get the same one booked onboard. He really didn't even want to quote me a price, once he knew that we would be booking onboard:mad:

We emailed our TA with our requests last week ie pack n play, high chair, and our dining rotation.

I asked for 2 Animators Palates, or 2 Tritons and I specifically said to avoid Parrot Cay.
!!!

What do you mean avoid Parrot Cay? You don't get to choose what restaurants you dine in. You visit each restaurant twice and depending on the rotation, one is three times.
When people request dining they are requesting a rotation, meaning
PATPATP, which stands for Parrot cay, Animators, Tritons, parrot Cay , Animators, Tritons, Parrot Cay.
The other rotations are APTAPTA OR TAPTAPT.........
When people request rotations it is usually so they are dining in Tritons for formal night( it's the fanciest of the three). Parrot Cay is a tropical restaurant, but the menu is wonderful.
Just thought I would let you know.....I am assuming this is your first Disney cruise?

Oppps!ETA: looks like the rotations are different.... ATTPPAP.? strange.

I took that as they wanted Parrot Cay the least, but I could be wrong. A lot of people want Parrot Cay on Pirate Night :thumbsup2

Oh, maybe! I just saw the request for a restaurant 2x and thought I'd pipe in!
I remember our first cruise......it was all so much to take in. We actually missed quite a bit. That is why #2 was so exciting!
Now, it has become a bit of an addiction.:worship:

Actually, we really like Animators on Formal night, being all black and white....but that is just us.
We have had parrot Cay twice on formal. The waiters still dress in tuxes. Just the decor is a little off...
I believe it's the same menu in all restaurants is it not?

I like Animators on formal night too! Although my last formal night we did Palo. It was only DH and me, but I'm excited to experience formal night with my brood, I hope to get a good picture of the 4 of them dressed up!

This might be our experience this cruise....we have Palo booked on formal:headache:

I am going to try to change it, or we might have to cancel. I love to dine with my boys all dressed up. :lovestruc

We are already booked on the Fantasy for June 23, 2012! Can't wait.....:yay:

Lucky you!
We might have to wait until 2013. It will be our 20th wedding anniversary. Don't think I can wait until then. Looking at possibly a 5 day next March, although it is more then what we are paying for the 7 day! Have to see the prices on board.

Happy Birthday to my DD Cecily!!!! :cheer2::cheer2:
We are going to DL on March 12th and we told her it was for her Birthday. We also got her an Alice Dress to wear to DL for her birthday and the Tea Party on board. She knows we are going on the cruise but does not know when. We are going to surprise her when we get to the port... It has been the hardest secret to keep from her. She thinks we are going sometime in May.:lmao::rotfl2: Ill post her video reaction when we get back!

Mindy- Natalee was going to send Cecily a St. Patrick's Day necklace to wear on the cruise! I guess we will bring it with us...I don't want to ruin your surprise!

My mother-in-law took me shopping and we got some darling outfits. I feel good about the clothes I have now. I am so ready. DH leaves for a business trip tomorrow for a few days. I am so ready for this trip.

We have Palo on Formal night too. I booked it on night 3 thinking Formal night was night 2. :headache:

I'm going to try to change it. If I can't. I will be canceling. I will not miss Formal night with my children.

Do you know if we can cancel on board without having to pay for it? I know excursions are not able to be cancelled once on board....
I guess we will see you in the long lineup:rolleyes1
Not what I want to do when I first get onboard....

Anyone else have a ton of FE stuff they need an additional suitcase? I have purchased so much since I first booked this cruise. I have so many little/different things I don't know how to package it up.

It actually isn't a resort, it is a beach experience, and I believe it is going to be $75/$60. I'm waiting for clarification on a couple of things including length of time, I should know today. I could possibly add you...this isn't a regular excursion, it is something they put together for my group (there are 12 of us). I explained my dilemma in Cabo, and asked them to find me ocean that we could actually swim in that wasn't entirely snorkeling based, because we have kids from 5-16, nine of them. One nice thing is this is JUST us. So they'll wait for us, whatever happens with the tender, and we can leave when we want without waiting for others.

Would you mind telling me which company you are using to do this? I have the Disney Chileno snorkeling trip booked for the first Cabo day, but after seeing all the additional things we could do for cheaper through the Cabo San Lucas tour site, I am thinking about canceling Disney and going out on our own - except I am a little scared!

I haven't done much research on Cabo. Our first stop we do not have anything planned. My oldest dd would like to get off the ship and shop. Are there things within walking distance or do we have to get a cab and go to the town?

Does anyone know how long it takes to get to Medano Beach by regular taxi or water taxi? Trying to plan out how much time to allow so we can get in some beach time.

Thanks,

Meredith
