March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

According to Navigators someone scanned from their cruise:

1st Cabo day:

First tender: APPROX. 11:15am
Last tender: 3:30pm

2nd Cabo day

First tender: APPROX. 7:30am
Last tender: 1:30pm

Loved looking at the new Navigators. Gives me an idea of what we will be doing!!!!

Still no room #!!!!

Dave, thanks for the links.

I noticed that when booking the Palo the dinner and brunch cover charges were $20.00. When looking at the link you provided it read $15.00. Maybe the Google docs. are not up to date? Which is understandable.

Mark.

The price goes up to $20 sometime this month. I don't remember the exact date, but it will by $20 by the time we cruise.

The Cruise Navigators for the first MR cruise have been posted!!!

Here's the link to the forum and message

Woo Hoo!

What a treat to read the navigators. We are home from school & work today so what great timing to snuggle under the covers and enjoy reading them.:)

As far as some of the negative food comments...I'm not worried. Food is SO SO subjective. If you don't like a dish, you can request to swap it out. I'm not a big eater and often the servers would come by..."Oh, You're not eating your food. Let me bring you something else." I'd have to assure them I liked it and that I'm just a light eater." Also, you can order "off" menu. If you don't like the main entree the salads and soups are normally excellent.

Part of it is managing your expectations. Don't go expecting everything to be magical & perfect. Go with the flow, laugh a lot...esp when something does go wrong and just sieze the moments! You'll find the magic.

This will be our 8th cruise on DCL as a family and we also sail Carnival and Celebrity. There will always be something to complain about if so inclined...but there will also be ample opportunities to to have a blast.

Well, we are snowed in and probably will be for a couple of days. It is 10+ inches and still coming down with wind gusts up to 40mph. The windchill is
-11. The kids want to play but not when it is like this.

I agree about the food. I think they are still working out the kinks of being in a new location with a lot of new staff. Plus, they have new food vendors etc. I am positive they will have it worked out by the time we board. :goodvibes

Here in Missouri it's been declared a State of Emergency. There are 600+ National Guards that have been called. Could you imagine if we were leaving this week and couldn't get to the airport? Better yet, couldn't get a plane? I cannot wait for sunny weather and not a snow shovel in sight~

I thought the same thing, the airport is basically shut down. Are you the one who's daughter cheerleads with my friend's daughter?

We actually went out to lunch while we still could. Snow is now coming down pretty hard!

Gotcha!!! Must be trying to help cover the price of oil? :confused3

Thanks again,
Mark.

Well said TexasGirl! May I ask what part of Texas you reside in? My DD and family will be joining up for this cruise. They live in Southlake, not too far from Fortworth.

Mark.

It is poor weather here in Dallas-Fort Worth too. The schools are all closed and DFW airport & Love Field even shut down earlier. We are all worried what economic impact the winter weather is having on the area since the Super Bowl is here this weekend. Poor travelers.

I live in Euless which is quite close to Southlake. I drive through Southlake twice a day to & from work to answer the previous poster. :)

Hey fellow zip liners......
Someone back from the first 1st MR cruise just posted that they had a party of 20 and were picked up AT THE PORT! do you want me to look into this for us.....
Would be great to not have to take a cab.
I think I would just need all our first and last names. See post below.

Yes! That would be great! I saw that post and was going to come on hear and ask but since I had the smallest group, I did not think I would have as much influence over the company. Our tour is under my name, Meredith Perry for 2 adults and 2 children.

Ok , great. Now I will wait for the party of 10, (sorry I don't recall her name...) and will call them.

Fingers crossed!

We have planned this excursion as well and would love to join you guys if there is room on the bus that they have. There are 4 of us reserved under the name: Bryon Mullen. If there is not room, that is okay!
Lori

Yes let me know what you find out? Fees etc?

The pick up is suppose to be free. I just think they will ask me everyones first and last names. Do you want to share your first and last name so I can check it out?

Thanks!

Denise.....Is Mike okay? The pictures made it look like he was really lucky to not have been hurt!! Hope he is doing okay!

Hope

For those booked on the Pirate Snorkel fantasy in Cabo. Looks like it may be canceled per below post on main forum.

I'll see if link works.

Maybe it is just that sailing...maybe others. Just FYI. I know we are booked on it.

On a more serious note...
For those so inclined..please send prayers or pixie dust to my little kindergarten son. He slipped on the ice in our driveway about an hour ago and fell hard on his head on the concrete.

He's laying here next to me with an ice pack watching Backyardigans. Small gash on his forehead and a lot of swelling. We are watching him for closed head injury symptoms.:scared1: Think he is okay but still a "bit out of it."

Hubby has medical background and so far we don't think an icy trip to the ER is going to be warranted. THanks.
