March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

Hope,

I agree that 6:45 seems way too early, but the excursion sounds like so much fun that I am going to just make it happen. I have exchanged emails several times with the tour company and I am overly pleased with all of the responses (not to mention how quick they responded).

I also got confirmation from Disney that our formal night is moving to the first Cabo day (day 3).

Tracie are you booking through DCL? I would love to do the excursion but our Palo Brunch is that day. We have never eaten at Palo....thought we would try it this time. But, we don't have too.

What did the tour company tell you? What makes it sound so fun? It really interests me. Every cruise we go on, I alway wish we would have done a dune buggy or 4x4 excursion. Maybe this is the trip that we do :)

I just checked out reservation...they still have us as Palo Brunch at 11:30am on the first Cabo day (which was a sea day when we booked).

They have changed our Dolphin Kids excursion on Cabo day #2 from 12:15-2:15 to 8:45-10:45, I guess since we are leaving port early in the afternoon, which is fine, as long as we still get to do the exursion!

keaster ~ are you going to keep your Palo Brunch if they still have it on the first Cabo day? I am thinking about it, but not sure yet. We are scheduled the same time you are.

typically brunches are only offered on Sea days but my TA said that they will not be moving them. They were going to keep them on that day and just offer more on our new at sea day. She said, DCL just wants to make more $$:confused3

I am going to leave it alone right now. Still have quite a few more days to wait.

Son3disfan....didn't you say that you are in CAT 10's on Deck 1? That is where we were on our last cruise and LOVED it!! Would love to be there again. It is a GREAT location!!! I can't wait to find out my room #!!

That is very interesting about the Palo brunch on a port day. I think it is a first!

Yes we are on deck one. We have been on deck 2 three previous cruises and loved it there, so close to the restaurants and tween club for my boys.
I was disappointed a bit about deck one.... It just seems so weird to be on that deck......nothing there! But it was an upgrade and we are pleased that we are all together at least.
But I am only hearing good things about that deck, so maybe it won't be too bad. thanks for sharing!

Our port time in PV is until 7 pm. That is what I was told. So we booked 11:15. There are 9 of us and I feel quite confident that we will be back before 5. If our port times changes between now and when we are in port, we will look into changing it then. I am sure this company is more then accommodating to cruise passengers on time changes.
We have to get up early for our Cabo 4x4 adventure that we booked for the Friday, so to be able to sleep in a bit at this port is a welcomed idea by my boys.
If you haven't done Palo before, you should really try it. The offering at the brunch are just amazing!

I think we will keep it because the 15th is my birthday (the big 4-0, don't tell anyone :rotfl2:) and I wanted to try Palo brunch! But if they move it no big deal!! I haven't checked to see if brunch is availble on on any of the other sea days.

That's strange... I was told 2nd night...Monday. :confused3

We are booked for Palo dinner Tuesday night.
Has anyone booked Palo on formal night? Is it different from regular Palo dinners?
Maybe this is a good thing?
Have a light dinner with the kids at 5:45 all dressed up, go to the theatre, then Palo....kind of makes renting a tux again for Dh worth it! Hmmm. Maybe this is an ok change.
Except formal night on a port day is going to make things rushed....and all the spa/ hair apt. s they are going to loose out on!

I am so confused! The times just keep changing. I don't have anything like Alternate B what is that? Whenever I try to call Disney the wait time is over 30 minutes. Doesn't seem to matter those that have called all get different answers!:confused3

Yes it is frustrating to keep hearing and seeing different times.
Have you logged in to My Reservations? You should see Alternate B there.
It still shows Cabo back to back under itinerary, but it has been confirmed by travel agents as well as others on the board that we are sea/Cabo/ PV/ sea/Cabo. There are only a few itineraries like that.

As far as port times..... Maybe by tomorrow we will know FOR SURE????:confused3
Fingers crossed our bookings will be available as well.

I called tonight about our Palo Brunch on Tuesday. The CM checked with a Supervisor and was told for me to keep the brunch time. She said that since we were not embarking until 11:15 that I would still be able to enjoy the brunch (we have 10:30 reservations). Maybe they are doing it like they did for Key West stops??? She did say at the end of the conversation that things do keep changing so that could mean that they may still change it to the new Sea Day. I figure if we keep the reservations the same it would not be too bad. I went ahead and booked the Dolphin Swim for 1:15 that day so we should have plenty of time. However, she did say that Formal will be that same day so we will need to get back to the ship to get ready.

Hope,

I just thought the little buggies were the cutest things I had ever seen. I checked the boards and everyone who has done the excursion has loved it. It is NOT a major 4x4 trip, but you do get to drive along the beach for an hour. Then you get 90 minutes at Chileno Bay (which is a gorgeous marine preserve cove)with an umbrella and snacks/drinks. Here is the link to look at the excursion.

I agree that I cannot believe they are not moving Palo and the formal night to a sea day. Makes no sense, but oh well I am still :rotfl: (rolling with it)

Any other Arizona familes going to meet at Dave and Busters?

Do we have a group name? Are we all going to meet once we are on board?

Hope...

Just checked my reservation and now the beach, buggy, and swim excursion in Cabo is Friday 8:15 - 12:15 (NOT 6:45). YEAH!!!! :cheer2:

I am happy for the change, but I do have to say that all the changes are making my head spin!! :confused3

Thank goodness! My husband pointed out that since we had late dinner seating, this excursion was going to be difficult to get up and ready for. I'm glad it's changed!

I think we'll see a lot of changes as they fine tune the trip. This week is the first week with the changes, so they are learning how fast they can get from one point to another.

This makes it exciting!

Hope lea,

Brunches are only offered sea days......they won't have it on a Cabo day.
Hang in there......as I'm sure they are going to move your date to the new sea day. They probably just haven't changed it over yet. I wouldn't cancel anything just yet. Brunch is my favorite! We booked the last sea day, Saturday so we are ok for now.

I got the same response when I called about Palo, we're still having it on the Cabo day. You never know though, with all the crazy changes I'd love for them to change it...

I was just about to book the 9:15 and checked the Disney cruise site again and the PV times have changed. It is now saying 8:45-7:00pm. Do you think you will make it to the pick-up location by 9:00am? I have to go back and rethink this some more and may be doing the 11:15am again now.

Meredith

one of my excursions pickup time is 7:15 and we get into port @ 7:15, DCL said we will meet on the ship for the excursion.

Consider yourself lucky. I'm looking at my reservation right now, and the Harbor Cruise is scheduled for 6:45am departure. Do we have to swim ashore to make it in time?

Should be fun to watch everything iron itself out between now and then.

Is this excursion for Puerto Vallarta? I am hoping they will settle on a time in port soon. Does anyone know if the ship changes time for each port or does it stay on ship time?

Thanks,

Meredith

That's the one I'm talking about, they said we were to meet on the ship. I hope they give us better directions.

I'm not a good swimmer..........

Tracie, I really want to do the beach buggy excursion. It sounds like a lot of fun. My dh really wants to see the arches, that is why we were doing the Harbor Cruise & Scenic stop. I am hoping that they will offer the Harbor Cruise & Scenic stop on our first stop to Cabo. Then I can swap that around and do the Beach Buggy on the 2nd stop. Do you think you will see the arches driving the Beach Buggy's??? If yes, then I can just change to that and say, as we are driving by....."look there are your arches"
