March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

Hello~

Wow, there are quite a few people here that have booked this cruise. Like many others, we jumped on the KSF promo. It is our first time cruising, so we are excited about all of it. I am looking through various posts and see lots of things to make it super-fun. One question though...what's a fishhook (I think that's what it's called...) Looking forward to all of your tips/suggestions/etc. as well as fun and friendship next Spring!

Now, I still don't get all of the "category lingo" being a cruise noobie, but I can tell you we're in a Cat. 6A and are on the 7th deck...

Talk with you all later!

There are some excellent crafty ones out there, but to give you the idea, if you participate you bring little tokens to share with others participating..each day you will find goodies in your pocket..some have just kids participating and others have everyone or just adults..it's a fun way to add some excitement to the vacation...

On the main page there are disigners who will create these images for you to put on your door for magnets...with sooo many doors it's a great help to find your room easily! :)

Welcome!!

.I just saved the files and printed them out, then I ran them through the laminate machine at Kinko's and cut them out...some cut them out (because some are in 2-3 pieces) then laminate but I'm always in a rush, then I just bought a roll of magnetic tape and stuck it to the back...very easy! :)

HTH!!

I see that Keaster and Abdmom are from Toronto area. :thumbsup2 So are we. Where are you guys from exactly? We are in Ajax. Maybe we could have a Dismeet or two before the cruise to do a meet and greet.:dance3:

Keaster here! Sorry we've been crazy busy.

We live in Barrie, so looking to fly out of Toronto...we considered Buffalo, but it's bit of a drive for us from here. We will probably have enough Avion points to cover at least 2 of our flight :thumbsup2

Tara, Thanks for the link. I just printed out my ears for my room. Mine will have the Hollywood Studios Hat :) I printed the mickey ears w/the captains hat for my parents room. I need to get them ready and hide them at work so I can laminate them when my boss isn't there :)

Thanks for the welcome! The FE exchange sounds like fun! Pencil us in, I'll send you the info once I get the minimum # of posts. Time to go "bump" a few ;)

Was doing a little digging yesterday and found the port schedule, and came up with a hotel near the port that has a free shuttle to the port. Here are the links!

Thank you,thank you!!

Is anyone booking their hotel stays already? I'm thinking about getting our hotel reservation booked now. We are going to Disneyland the day before the cruise so we'll be staying in Anaheim/Garden Grove and not near the port. Anyone else going to Disneyland the day before? I know I've asked a bit but now that the ship has filled up, kind of thinking need to jump on hotel ressies before we are out of options!

I just booked a night at the DoubleTree in San Pedro. We are driving down from the Bay Area the day before the cruise, and the DoubleTree has a park and cruise special for $189. We get to keep the car there for the duration of the cruise and there is a complimentary shuttle to the port, as well as a free breakfast the morning of departure and drink tickets for the adults for Saturday night. Parking at the port is $15/day, so it's a push, but at least we have lodging and parking taken care of (with breakfast and drinks as a bonus.)

Sounds like the Radisson @ Port Canaveral! I'm sending you a PM w/ my email address!

Let's ALL give BigRed1 (Allen) a HUGE :worship::worship::worship: for all of his hard work... His cordination efforts mean a lot to all of us.
Thanks!! But I don't deserve that!! Google is the hard worker!!

We plan on flying in Friday night and go to DL for the day on Saturday. I want to stay at the Port on Saturday night so that when we get up on Sunday we can just make our way to the ship and start the party!

Do you guys think we can do both DL and California Adventure in one day? They don't seem that big but I am not sure...

What are other people's plans?

You would not be able to do both parks in one day if you were trying to see and do everything. If you wanted to see the very top highlights, it's do-able but you will definitely miss out on some stuff, for sure.

Our plan will be to go to Disneyland/CA Adventure from open to close on Saturday. We're staying in Anaheim and will drive to the port Sunday morning. I'm not trying to be at the port at opening this time but we'll definitely want to be on the ship around lunch time.

I dont know what we are going to do on Saturday. I think my dd's want to see some of CA. We are goin to stay close to Ontario airport. (my sister lives 10 minutes from there). We will arrive @ the port around 10ish? What time can we go into the port? I like to be early!! Don't want to miss a minute of my trip :)
