Hi there,
We got our room assignments today...we WERE booked for cat.12 GTY and got a cat. 9!!!!
It's me, DH, DD6 and DS1
Can't wait!!!
I'm worried that we'll dissappointed since it's only 3 nights. We've been on two 7 night DCL cruises.

My wife and i just booked this cruise. Now its only cat 12, we had cat 6 and 7 last time. We justified it because we want to take the New Years land/sea packadge. So we took this cruise to book that one. I know spend 2k to save $600, we need to take a trip now so why not, right:woohoo:

That's a big change to go from 7 to 3 nights...but you still get CC!

Have you scheduled your baby for flounders yet? (online). I had my DS in flounders for our first cruise. I was pleased with the care. He was very much a momma's boy...and cried...but they helped him through it.

Do you have main or late dinner seating?

Your DD6 and my DD7 will be in the same club. Our DD will have just turned 7 before the cruise....we'll be getting a cake sometime while onboard.:cutie:

I am hoping we can upgrade when we check in

There are still alot of open staterooms...I'm still hoping for some pixie dust!

Still, you'll be doing 2 cruises this year...and a cat 12 is better than being on land any day.:yay:

I have really rethought the cruise in Decemeber. To take the New Years cruise its an extra 3k versus say taking it in early dec. So I think that we are going to book the panama canal cruise for 09.

Actually this is already our 2nd cruise this year. We did a land sea in sept cat 6. Inside cabin will be different for sure this time. :)

Which cruiseline is that on....isn't Disney staying "closer to home" in 2009!

What will you use your onboard booking opportunity for?

We're not planning another cruise right now, but I know it will be hard to turn the onboard booking down. I'll bring my Disney Visa just in case!

I wouldn't give up hope for an upgrade yet. They are still selling cat 12 gty. anything is possible. And on a 3-day cruise we probably won't be in our rooms much anyway!

just 3 weeks!:)

It's official. We sail in 3 week.s

so much to do to get ready. :laundy:

Have a grea day everyone.

15 days till we leave for WDW woo hoo. I was thinking about booking the panama canal 09. They aren't offering it online so maybe they are not going to do it?

I am going to be in charge of packing this time. My wife is excellent at bringing anything we might need, might. We are going on a luggage diet this trip

How can you tell there are alot of staterooms still left? are you just checking the DCL website and trying to make a reservation? Is it the discount page on DCL?pirate:

just checking to see how many staterooms pop up under each category. Many times this close to sailings some categories are just simply not available.

I'm sure Disney will sell them... I'm just thinking positively.

I got DOCS for one room today!:yay:

oh I mean :dance3: doing the document dance!!!

I still don't know how you are doing that? Where can you check how many staterooms are available? I log on to DCL and I never see how many rooms are available.

:confused3

it's not really telling me how many staterooms are available...I go through each available category and just see IF staterooms are available...I think the most that ever come up for a cat. are 8. But like I said at 3 weeks before sailing having any staterooms left is encouraging. I'm sure FL residents and Disney cast will somehow fill the ship. But I'm still hoping for a cat 4:rotfl:

the :wizard: is capable of anything!

But I won't be dissapointed with my assigned cat 10.

Hi Poohfriend
Yes it's a big change from 7 to 3 but at least we get to see the Wonder.

I've registered both kids in their respective clubs. I'm positive we won't be using Flounders. Since DS is only 17 months old, we can't bear to let him go to a stranger...just us. And on our last two cruises, DD hung out with us most of the time. I'm sure DD will want to visit the club and have her little brother to play with her for a short time.

We ended up getting late dinner seating since we only booked a month ago. I was a bit worried but with the time zone difference, the late seating is actually when we have supper in our own time zone.

hi all,
We got our cruise documents two days ago!!! whoohoo!!!:cool1:

Ha ha...luggage diet...we have to do that too...not sure how. We're in Florida for almost 3 weeks and only can bring two large suitcases and two carry on size suitcases...that's according to the website of the car rental we are getting....Ford Taurus...if we upgrade to a van for those 3 weeks, it's an extra 700 dollars...even with a corporate discount...plus we have carseats and strollers...hummm

WOW good luck fitting all that in the car!

for 700 you could go on quite a shopping spree onboard and then SHIP the new clothes back to you.

Heck at the moderate resorts they have washing machines. They even have them on the cruise. I hate tripping all over luggage in the room. I do have to admit my wife rarely misses a thing. Except that one time we went to Vegas and she didn't bring me any shirts:rotfl:
