Thanks!! yay!!!!!!!! I love my Disney PM collection. It didn't become an obsession till I was a CM and would get 50% off around the holidays so it made them VERY AFFORDABLE!!! The PP Flight one was over $100 but I paid 1/2 of it. PP is a classic favorite of mine and the ride holds a special place in my heart so I had to get it My "Daughter" one and "Get Well" ones are the only two non Disney ones I have.

That IS very afforadable!

Sorry about all the stress, but yay for your application being approved and getting to go to Disney so soon!

EMH AT MK!!!!!

Hey Dis Friends!!!

I hope everyone is having a good start to the holiday weekend!

If you didn't read my "life update" post, I found out on Monday that I will be losing my job on Friday June 3rd. The center that I'm working at is closing so this week has been very hard and bittersweet for me as it was my 2 year anniversary, I'm interviewing with other schools, and having to cope with the fact that my kid's parents are just as stressed as the teachers are!

I have been given one offer for a school and have another interview on Tues morning. I might not take either and just bum around here before I move to FL in July but we'll see. I figured everything happens for a reason but I wish I didn't have to make this decision!!!!!

Anyways...I did get word that my teaching certificate was approved and sent so I look forward to getting that any day now!!

TRIP UPDATE....

SUNDAY MARCH 20TH, 2011

When we left off, mom and I were leaving Epcot for POFQ and bro headed off to work at "the other castle" at Universal.

After some pool time (no pics this time!), we got showered and headed to MK at 6pm. Of course we caught a bus in no time and were off to POFQ without stopping at POR

When we got there, I knew mom really wanted to ride the train so that was our first stop!

There was a family behind us screaming in Non-English which really ticked us off because we had no idea what they were saying on the train and it's not like we ride the train every day and every trip!!!

When we rode past SM, I couldn't believe the line! The queue was outside the building in the little courtyard area! I don't remember a line like that since I was little and it first opened. I remember waiting for a good hour out in that courtyard back in the early 90s!!!

And eventually we got back to the beginning! It was a nice way to start the night at the park!

MY CASTLE!!!!!..and yes I can claim it since I "lived" in it for a year and 1/2 and would still be living there if they didn't screw up my seasonal status

We didn't' get past the castle and I wanted a snack!

After a quick snack we did another classic yet one that we don't do unless we have time..

As we got off the boat, it was starting to get dark and we still had time before bro came so we decided to go potty, mom wanted a funnel cake snack, and then headed to Hall of Presidents which was seating immediately when we walked in..

By the time the show ended it was totally dark, bro was on his way, and we were ready for dinner!!!

Love the train ride in the early evening. Such a peaceful ride normally

I can't remember the last time I was on the Liberty Belle Boat. I had to be a little kid. I am not even sure if that is the name

Ugh, I'm sorry about your job. It is just a bad time to be a teacher. I've been looking for classroom position jobs too, and hoping they don't cut the job I have now so atleast I'll have something to fall back on. But believe me, I know it's frustrating! On the bright side...that is sweet that some of the parents have asked where you'll be because their kids want to have you again. And atleast you got an offer for something else!

Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers...can't help but think "everything happens for a reason"....maybe this is your sign that Florida is where you should be

While we were in the states on Tues/Wed we were watching the weather channel and the horrible storms that were passing thru and we were both sick to our stomachs at the horror people were exposed to! This weather is crazy lately...even up here...we were under a tornado watch yesterday for most of the day and then heard one touched down just south of the city! I hate when the sky gets that ominous color and the clouds are rolling

I know things will all work out for you and you are a lucky girl to have a great mom and dad...but then, you already knew that

Thanks! I'm going to head to FL and see what happens. If I can't get a FT teaching job then I'll try at another daycare (make more money than disney or universal) or last resort being Universal or Disney. I've worked the hot summer before down in FL at AK so I figured if I can live through that than any other job will be cake!

Thanks. I don't have a job. I'm going to head down early July and start hunting. Elementary jobs first, then daycare, then Disney or Universal as a last resort since they will pay the least.

MOUSEKEEPING ENVELOPES + MORE!!!

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY DIS FRIENDS!!!

I hope everyone had a good long weekend! My mom and I went to the water park at Kings Island yesterday and today. Yesterday it was 94 and today was 96+ hot hot hot!!!!!

Drama over the job, moving, etc. is continuing. My dad says "this is a crucial time for hiring and I should be down in FL starting next week , " but I don't know where he expects me to live and I refuse to sleep on a couch for a month! I feel like it's always trying to please him and I want to go my own route for once! So the plan is to leave on the 1st of July, stay at a extended stay type place for a week or so and move into the apt around the 15th of July. He is concerned that I will be missing interviewing/hiring opportunities but honestly, I'm not concerned. I realize the jobs were just posted but I'm sure they would work with the fact that I could interview when we are down there the 16-23 even if I have to rent a car for the day. Of course this means packing business attire, my teaching binder, etc but I'd do it! Funny how "the crucial time" wasn't an issue until I'm about to lose my job and all of a sudden it's life or death if I don't get down there asap

Anyways..rant over...

As I was trying to cross things off for the trip and decided to print off my Mousekeeping envelopes!

Over the weekend, I did organize my Disney Box:

I've been reading my two fav park books for WDW and Universal:

No weekend would be complete without shopping and even though I'm about to be out of a job, I did manage to pick up a few things for the trip

Mom and I spotted the Target dollar section with the towels and went kind of nuts! I bought some and she bought some:

Last Monday (after my bomb drop) mom surprised me with these items:

Now the only one we have left is the Deathly Hallows Part I which is on Redbox and we'll probably be getting it this weekend!

That's pretty much it! It has been a stressful weekend to say the least. I'm still going to the 2nd interview tomorrow morning but most likely I won't be accepting a position if they offer it based on timeline I have in my head.

Any advice or suggestions would be wonderful at this point!!!!!

Good luck with your interview, even if you don't accept a position. Atleast it's good practice! The advice I always get is to "go deep" in your answers and be specific. But I still always get nervous for interviews.

I love how you have a Disney box for your trips. I wish I had one (or atleast knew for sure when I was going back...).

loved all your updates- what great seats at Coral Reef! so did you and mom go crazy in mousegears? I love shopping in there. in fact, i think i will send DH and DS off to play in the water fountain while i shop this time. I always hate them having to wait on me in the store, i feel rushed!

anyhow- wishing all good things for you and keep in mind your trip isn't that far away (which also means my mountain trip isn't either!)

I can totally relate to you and the pressure from your Dad. My dad always influenced my decisions. It wasn't until I was 18 or 19 before I started arguing him on it. You're absolutely right: it's your life, your decision. He can certainly give you his opinion but he can never decide for you. Nobody can! I hope whatever direction you take, it's the right one for you

I love those towel clips, I saw them in Bed Bath and Beyond the other day and I was so tempted to get some! Maybe closer to my trip!

I love those towels. I'll have to see if our store has them. It would be nice to freshen up my fingertip towels I have in our bath with some nice summery ones. I hadn't seen the towel clips - those are cool Where did you get them? Also, I love The Complete WDW book. I love details and it certainly is full of them. I have copied the FastPass page for many of my coworkers when they are heading to WDW. I hear so many horror stories of people not using FP or not knowing how, I want to make sure they know how they work. I love the Mousekeeping envelopes. I really hope we get back there next June - I've been jotting down notes at work in the back of my daytimer and I'll have to make sure I make a reminder for the envelopes.

btw - heading to Kings Island next Tuesday. My DD's middle school is going and she likes me to go. Not that I get to hang out with her (lol) - she just likes the thoughts of me being there. I take my DS who is best buddies with one of the teachers DS - so they have a blast riding together.
