Looks like you've had a great birthday celebration. The flowers your parents gave you are beautiful! I love the silver Mickey at the bottom of the vase.
And, the 2 pearls were a great birthday surprise too! How lucky can you be!
I love your Dinosaur pic, ya'll look too cute & funny in it!
Poly is my dream resort, but I doubt I'll ever get to stay there. I do want to stay at POFQ next time we go to WDW. It looks very pretty. I'm glad you were able to get the room section you wanted.

Ditto! I guess I might call here in a few weeks and have them put it on as a request. Like I said it won't make it or break it since it's for just a night but i just can't imagine paying $450 for one night and not have a balcony but it is what it is! I read somewhere that they are no longer putting hot tubs in because of the risk factors which is good but I'm sure that if people would just follow the rules it would make life easier! I've read that the Health Club at GF is where the Spa is and if that's so it was very nice! Yay for the military discount! I think they should offer that every year because not all families can afford to go so if they are able to go at a great discount that's wonderful!!!

Yeah, I might see if we can request one as well. We'll be there for a whole week, so I would like to have a balcony. We will probably be making a few trips over to the health club at the GF though! I love that they have a military discount, and I heard that they are extending it into 2012 as well, but only for Disneyland and Shades of Green at WDW. I guess we could make a trip out to DLR again, but I would like to see them offer a discount for some onsite resorts at WDW. I love my DDP!

That sunset pic at AK was really gorgeous! And AK at night looks really cool! I've only ever been there at night once when I was little, and in January after dinner at Rainforest Cafe, but the time in January we weren't actually IN the park.

I LOVE the Yorkshire County Fish Shop in the UK! I have no idea why, it's just really good and not too much food, or maybe the British is coming out in me!

Can't wait to hear about EMH!

I think it's great that you were able to book Poly CL for one night ~~ I'm sure your parents will just love that surprise! I don't know too much about it there but I do remember reading many reviews where people raved about the wonderful CL food offerings.

We love AK after dark. We always do evening EMH there on our December trips. It's just a totally different park after dark and EE is even better then!

I had friends come in from Pittsburgh today who are staying at the Great Wolf Lodge so I hung out with them most of the day so right now I'm dead tired and said I was going to sleep at 9 but well the Dis bug caught me and here I am at 9:45pm but I'll be back tomorrow with an update!!!!

HAPPY EASTER DIS FRIENDS!!!!!!

I hope everyone has had a great Easter today! Ours started out pretty rainy but it stopped raining for most of the day!

We didn't do much in my house. We went to church, lunch at Bob Evans, dyed Easter Eggs, and my mom and I watched the 2nd Harry Potter movie while dad watched golf. We're getting ready to eat dinner soon but I won't be eating much of it I am feeling better but I have only been eating very soft things and soft rolls from Bob Evans is the "hardest" thing I've eaten!

I figured I would post some pics from the past month!

Here are some pics of when I passed my Praxis earlier this month!

My mom bought me flowers and my dad did too!

And a surprise!

For Easter today the bunny came! The bunny still comes in my house and even when I moved out, the bunny still came lol.

I found some old Mickey Heads from a year ago so I thought I would use them and create a new countdown from 50-travel day!

I've also decided to try and watch a Disney movie each weekend in addition to the 5 Harry Potter movies that we have left to watch. Yesterday I watched my first Disney weekend movie:

I disliked this movie when I saw it in theaters but after buying it, I fell in love with it and it almost tops Beauty and the Beast for me...almost but not quite lol.

Also, you've read the updates saying that we've dropped the last night at WL and I'm surprising my parents with 1 night at Poly CL:

I'm thrilled to be staying here. It doesn't give me the "home" feeling like WL or YC do but I figured we'd give it a shot despite the negative reviews that I've been reading! I've been in touch with the planning office at Poly and I have a form that I have to email or fax back to them about our arrival and if we need any adrs, ticket info, etc. prior to arriving.

I'm thinking about having a cake from GF delivered to our room after we arrive. I really really want the mini castle cake so we'll see what happens. When I emailed IPO Poly about it, I was written back "I'm not sure if GF delivers but here's their number, you can call and ask them".
For $450+ a night Club Level..I'm thinking YOU should be the one to call not me but I did my research thanks to the Dis and you can get GF cakes delivered to Poly so I guess I'm on my own and will be ordering that even though I'm pretty sure the IPO people are supposed to do things like that??

Other than that, there's not much going on. Our flight prices have gone up so I'm glad we jumped on those when we did

I have made a few ADRs since we only will need 2 but I figured, we'll discuss what we are doing Pre-Vero Beach and Post VB (while at CL Poly). I'm going to have to think of something good to disguise the fact that we're staying at a monorail resort!

When things get ironed out more, I'll post a new schedule!

That's it for now, I'm going to go enjoy more pasta and ice cream for my Easter dinner!!!!

That Easter basket looks like a winner! I got Disney Sing It for the Wii and a Minnie Mouse sweatshirt with my name on it. And some yummy candy.

That countdown looks great! I think I am going to make a paper chain once I get down to 50 days.

I loved the Princess and the Frog when I saw it, but I don't like that Disney is trying to make Tiana a "classic" Disney princess. She doesn't really fit in with them and she's replacing the others on a lot of the merchandise.

Enjoy CL at the Poly! I hope you and your parents love it! We were going to stay CL there in July, but we have a lot of ADR's and we figured it would be wayy too much food. So we're saving the $$ but still enjoying the Poly!

I love Princess and the Frog, I was watching a little of it yesterday, since it was on some random movie channel! I have it on DVD, but I love seeing Disney movies actually on TV, when I catch one, I have to sit and watch it!

I wouldn't worry about not liking the Poly, I think it's going to be amazing, I'd give anything to stay there!

Sounds like you got some good things for Easter too!!!

I felt the same way when we stayed YC CL with the DDP, it was too much food and we didn't much of the parks so it seemed like we were at the pool and always eating

Thanks! We're working up to that one. I had only ever seen the first and we're on the 3rd now and I'm getting hooked quickly but I find myself only being able to watch a little at a time, not all at once so I guess I'm not that hooked yet!

Phew!!!!
I just got caught up from Dec 10 TR and the other PTR within TR's
I started yesterday morning at work and in between work (10%) and reading (90%) lol, I'm finally caught up!!
The trips sound like they were such fun and I am looking forward to more of your PTR for the June trip.
My friend and her husband went to Vero Beach last fall and loved it. They have grown children and she said they still went to the bonfire and had a great time. They love Disney.
I watched Cars for the first time this past weekend. We've had it since it came out on DVD. It was good - it's one of my DH's favorites. I wanted to rent Tangled from Redbox but they were out and I wanted to watch a Disney movie so my DS and I picked Cars.
My DD's (13) class is watching The Princess and the Frog. They have some down time between tests and watch movies every now and then. She told me she loves it.
Now I can't wait to get started on some of the other DISr's PTR & TR who have posted on your thread.
