March 10 announcement?

I would be willing to bet this is to pitch 2011 itineraries and has nothing to do with 2012. I will be watching but have no expectations.

that's a bummer. i'm anxious to hear what the rest of the itineraries are and had been hoping for a new med cruise option that would hit some other ports in europe.........

All I want to know is where the Magic will be in Summer 2012 so I can go ahead and plan my dummy dates. I am booked on the Magic for Jan 2012. I am less interested in the itinerary then sailing on the Magic. Even though I have been to the Bermuda on RCCL, if Magic does sail from NY, I am definitely going to move my sailing date and wait to do the Caribbean on the Fantasy in Summer 2013. It's amazing how impatient I am right now.

While most cruises out of NY does go to New England and Bermuda, RCCL does a Bahamas cruise. The itinerary is Port Canaveral, Nassau and their private island CoCo Cay with three nights on sea. Maybe Disney would consider doing something similar: Port Canaveral, Nassau and Castaway Cay?

I wonder what they'd charge for a WDW excursion? :lmao:

I've actually wondered the same thing! I was guessing about $180 per person ($90 for the ticket and $75 for transportation plus a Disney convenience premium to guarantee making it back on the ship!). I was thinking if we did such a cruise, we'd probably just do Disney on our own for less!

Nope, that itinerary definitely would not interest us, even if it meant we didnt' have to fly. Going to Nassau in May -- our second time -- not interested in a third time. If it was on the Fantasy, maybe -- that way we would have more time to explore the new ship, but not on the Magic. I LOVE the Magic, but not for that itinerary.

Not really interested in that itinerary - we've been to Nassau enough times already.

Now, if they do Bermuda, Port Canaveral and Castaway Cay - sign us up! :thumbsup2

There has also been speculation earlier in this thread of a CC cruise from Galveston. If they do that, why not add PC instead of Nassau as a stop?

I agree, no more Nassau!!!

Don't get me wrong, I am not interested in going to Nassau either. I have been to Nassau too many times to count but if Disney is considering NY as a port, I could see Disney considering this a viable itinerary. For those who have never been to Nassau, it's an option. It also allows you to experience Castaway Cay and for a person like myself who has never been on the Magic, it allows me to experience it without having to fly down to Florida. Now if they did Bermuda and Castaway Cay, even better. DH gets to play golf in Bermuda and I get to enjoy a day in paradise.

This is what I'm hoping for. I've done Nassau, blah. I've never seen Bermuda, and I'd love to go there via the Magic.

Or, maybe they could just do a Castaway Cay double-dip. That would probably be MUCH more appealing, but it's probably also doubtful, since they have to include Nassau.

Why would they have to include Nassau??

I was wondering if someone could tell me why the Magic has her last scheduled trip(March 2011) have a 6 day trip instead of a 7 day.

Will she be decommissioned?
She just had dry dock in Oct. New carpet in some rooms and reconfigured drink station. Thought laundry had been updated with new machines.

Will she need time to arrive at a new port?
Is that where the NY talk is comming from?
Will that Fri night when she returns be the start of her repo to another port?

Does she get a new schedule to fit the Fantasy in at her old docking times?
Perhaps the Magic is no longer our Saturday girl.

On my trip Thanksgiving week and the week before. 12 foot waves from inside the family and adult pools occured. Fun to watch, but that water had to be going in places that were not intended. The next day water came in through the atrium glass chandelier. Some leaking damaged may have occured from that but would seem repairable.

Wow I miss that trip

Why would they have to include Nassau??

It's my understanding that, because the ships are registered in Nassau, that they're bound to stop there. Not sure if that's true or not, but I've heard that a number of times.

Because they have a contract with the Bahamas to stop a certain number of times there. With 3 ships on the east coast, I think there could be times when one of the three won't have to go there.

On the PC we booked the Eastern Carb on the Fantasy for August 2012. When the San Jaun port came out we changed it to Dec 15 2012. We even saved some money and got an extra $25 OBC so now we have $275.
We still might change it when the summer trips come out for the Wonder and Magic

The Magic has not gone to Nassau in years (except when they have had last minute itinerary changes due to weather) so there would be no requirement to have Nassau on a Magic itinerary. (DCL as a whole may have a contract to have so many port calls there but that's why they have the Dream doing 2 calls a week.) Now, whether they opt for a stop in Nassau on a Magic from NY itinerary is a whole different matter.

Just a FYI. I checked the Honolulu link that was posted. The Spread sheet was updated yesterday with the Wonder still listed at Peir 2 on May 6-7 and Sep. 16. They even had a port agent listed. Take with a grain of salt of course because nothing from DCL has been said but this is now almost only a year away. I think this will happen and I will be on one of them.

I still think this means DCL was planning on doing Asia next summer. And now I wonder what they'll do. It's still a long way off, so Japan has time to recover, but it would be a difficult decision right now. Especially after changing itineraries with Egypt, Tunisia and Mazatlan.

Hi Everyone:
I've been lurking at this board with great interest in the last couple of weeks especially with this Thread. I'm reallly looking forward to book my first Disney cruise on this POTENTIAL itinerary from LA--Honolulu. I'm pregnant now with my 2nd child, so I promised my 1st daughter that we'll go on a special trip that combines Disneyland and a Disney Cruise next year with the new baby. My 1st daughter will be 5 next year around the time of this potential repo cruise.

So, a couple of questions for all the Disney veterans and Cruise Experts:
--what does it mean that the Wonder will be in Honolulu for May 5 AND 6? Does that mean we get to Honolulu on May 5, but we stay on the ship overnight and debark on May 6?

--Is there any ports possible between LA and Honolulu? I checked on the last Mexican Riviera sailing and it comes back to LA on Apr 29, 2012. Which means that the LA-Honolulu sailing will leave LA on Apr. 29, 2012 and arrive on May 5 at Honolulu. So, are we only going to see 7 SEA DAYS?????

Thank you everyone for all your ideas and insightful thoughts on this Board.:thumbsup2
