Received an email from DCL today saying your cruise is almost here.

We have a dummy date already booked so I don't think we will rebook this time.

FE s are all done and ready to go!!!!

Canadians: anyone purchasing the ridiculous international license??? Can't believe Canadians are included in that law, we speak the same language!!!!!

HELLO everyone So excited only 10 days until we fly out of cold Canada and head to sunny Orlando and then the CRUISE
As far as the international license thing-- My husband called our Insurance company and we are covered no problem. He also called Budget car rental company and asked if they were requiring this. They told him no. We have also read that the law in not enforceable. My concern was rental company would ask to see it but apparently they told him no. I may call one more time and request an email or something in writing...do I sound paranoid? lol We rent the car to drive to the port and for 4 days afterwards to travel to WDW and to be able to shop etc and return to the airport.
This is my 3rd Disney cruise and we were considering doing the FE but in the end decided we did not have time to prep and that my DD has too many shoes to fit extra stuff in luggage... lol
IS there a member meet at any time??

Oh, thank you for letting us know! I wondered what we'd get, and I have not seen Brave, Lincoln or Oz (of course) and want to see all three. Nice to have some good choices! I remember last time one of the crew pointed out that Disney is the only cruise line that can have current movies - because they are Disney movies.

I am just about dying of excitement for this cruise! We have at least a foot of snow on the ground here, and they are forecasting another big storm tonight. I am so tired of winter. At work I just dream about lying on the beach at Castaway Cay...

How is everybody's packing going? I can't believe our cruise is almost here!

I know many of you are heading down early- I think somebody even starts traveling tomorrow (March 1st). Safe travels to all!

We fly out next Wed (3/6) and I've been looking at the long range forecast and loving that it will be high 70s and sunny! Beats the day of 'slush' we had yesterday.

I hope we get to bump into at least a few of you on our cruise. I'll probably have a small lime green mickey head attached to my bag so if you spot it- come say 'Hi'.

For those of you concerned about the IDL issue. I just checked our insurance company's website and they have a letter addressing it that I've just printed out to carry with us. It says we are covered fully while this law is being address by the florida state department.
"The Dominion will NOT deny coverage on the sole basis that a non-resident driver was unauthorized to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Florida due to the lack of an International Driving Permit"
Good enough for me! I had been told that we were covered but it's nice to get it in writing.

Looking forward to it! We fly out next Wednesday as well. Hitting Universal for the first time for 2 days and 2 days in Clearwater before the cruise.

Started to pack today! Fly out next Sat. My DS 13 does a countdown every am when he gets up! Going to the airport early, hoping US customs is not backed up.

Finished most of the packing today Just those last minute items to add. Busy week ahead and I am being picked up onroute by my hubby and kids to the border FRIDAY after school ! I am a teacher so I cannot get out early. Our flight is at 7:35 so we are booking it to the airport!! So excited. Our 3rd Disney cruise but my Daughter's boyfriend's first time.
Weather is looking pretty nice.
EXCITED for the shows on board and to finally see Atlantis up close and personal !!

Has there been any discussion us "Disboarders" having a get together on the ship? On our previous DCL cruises we've met (albeit briefly) with some of the DIS boarders. I haven't read all of the previous threads, but I thought I would ask to see if there was any interest.

Is there any thought to have a quick Disboarders meeting to maybe at least introduce the children?

We took the short-cut yesterday and bought our FE. Hope it can double as an Easter Basket or St. Patrick's Day basket. Did St. Patrick play soccer? I hope so because ours is green with soccer balls on each side.

Hello all Two quick questions. How is the cream rinse onboard? I'm nervous as both my daughter 15 and I have course hair and our very first trip to Disney with my 'oldest' 28 year old 14 years ago found us looking like we put our fingers in a socket when the hair dryer finished

Anyhow, lesson learned; packing and wondering if the cream rinse has improved or should I pack my own in a small travel container?

Second question... must have been a lie cuz I forget my second question

Oh ya, remembered My straighter just died. Anyone have suggestions or recommendations? Running out tonight to local beauty supply

Our DD is 8 3/4 she is really looking forward to making new friends. She has already told us that whenever we are on the boat she will be in the kids club making friends, not with us...

Can't wait for this cruise. We're doing a back-to-back (our first time)so we get right back on, on the the 14th. We don't even have to take out stuff out of our cabin.
