Looking forward to that moment when we step on board, the CM announces, "The Disney Magic welcomes the ****** family!" and DD turns to me and says, "Are you crying again?"

Something about that horn......for all the first time cruisers, its just amazing to hear! just wait!
Makes me cry too!

On our last cruise, my son secretly taped the announcement ( "Welcome the .......family!")on his phone.
It was awesome to hear when we arrived home (over and over!)
I added it to the beginning of our cruise " video" that I made when we arrived home.
We will be dong it again for sure!

And I cry on the last day when we leave and see the banner that says
SEE YOU REAL SOON!
In fact , the first time I saw the WELCOME HOME banner, I shed a tear too.
Wow, a lot of tears for such a wonderful vacation!

And this does sound like a fun bunch! Looking forward to meeting everyone on the dance floor!

We are taking my brother in law on his first -ever vacation....he has never travelled anywhere! He is going to love it! Especially the crusing part!
We are so excited to be sharing this with him.

But I do think he and my DH will have some " brother bonding" time, so I am also looking forward to MY alone time....like in the spa!

Our suitcases come up from the basement on Sunday -- and it's pedicure weekend!

But the big crisis? Not only has the strap on DH's favourite Mickey Mouse watch come apart, but now the battery is dead! This will require a special trip to the mall, and heaven knows what will come home along with a repaired watch!

Crazy day at work today, but in a way having the vacation ahead gives me great focus and momentum to get things done. We head to WDW on the 7th, and I'm telling everyone that I'm accessible 'til Saturday morning, then they're on their own! Nothing like a deadline to get everyone in gear!

(We actually have a great shot we took of a friend who had to take a conference call while he was on the safari at AK last summer. There is much to be said for being out of range!)

DH's favourite watch is his Mickey one too! Although this year, he has his eye on a special sailing watch from one of our excursions.

DH brought home Disneyland Adventure for Kinect game to get us more into the mood. It is soo fun! Tonight we rode Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean and now my feet are sore - just like in the parks!!

No family with him, he's going solo. We really had to pursuade him to come.He is recently divorced and it has been a really rough year. He really needs to get away, ( don't we all!)

And yes, you got it EXACTLY right. 5 men/ boys , one me. I will need a little princess therapy !

Did anyone see the christening of the Fantasy this morning on GMA?
Ohhhhh I wanted to be sailing away at that moment!

We are so close now! The final stretch!

We have so much hockey and basketball this weekend.....I think I counted 5 games between Saturday and Sunday. I feel like I won't get anything done! Ahhhhh! It's coming so fast!

Anyway, I'll be working on a little "get-to-know-you" scavenger hunt type of thing for the kids at the meet. If any of you would like to PM me with a little tidbit about their children, I can try to incorporate it into the game. Something like... their favourite character, their favourite disney ride, nickname, where you live, or any other little bit you might like to share - just one will be good.
We leave Thursday (the 8th), so by Wed, would be nice, and only if you'd like to, obviously.

Mickey just called the boys!!!! They were smiling ears to ears!!!!

We have scheduled for goofy to call tomorrow morning... I hope we get the same reaction!!!

I have to admit, I had tears in my eyes...

Since we booked our flight with DCL, we are flying Saturday AM, so at this time next week, we should be sitting in the plane from Atlanta to Orlando... I just can't wait!!!

Ariel called DD 2 nights ago and she was over the moon excited about it too!!!

DD and I skipped skiing today (we ski pretty much every Sat) so we could get a few last minute things for the trip as well as get some pedis! A little girl time is great!

Most of my spreadsheets now have "X" in the boxes -meaning I've completed the task! I think I'm going to do some packing today and tomorrow so that on Friday when our flight leaves all we have to do is pack up toiletries, grab our bags and go! Yipee!

Cannot wait to send out my email that I am going to be completely unavailable for 6 work days!!

It should have been emailed to you so maybe you can check your email history. When i did my first call i did it so it would call right away not a future date beacause i im horrible at remembering

Just watched the Magic sail away -- it really is a beautiful ship. Brought a tear to my eye!

As to the strawberry soup, if memory recalls we got it in Parrot Cay when we boarded. It's a DH fave!

And sure, yeah, I'll head to the gym. But you're running without me, girl! (I'll cheer you on at the finish, though.)

Hey we are leaving on the 8th too! we are flying out of buffalo, then in florida we are staying in venice but will visit WDW on Friday! Where are you flying out of & staying?

We fly out of Buffalo at 7:15 am on Thursday too ... lol. We're staying at Country Inn & Suites for a couple of days
