March 1-4, 2007 on the Wonder???

In Nassau, I think we are going to check out Ardastra Gardens/Zoo. It's hard to find something that will appeal to ages 65, 39 & 4!

We might also go to the Straw Market just to say that we did. I've been there before & didn't care for the pushiness, but it's an experience!

We are in Room 2652 - like I said, a noisy one, but we're grateful for the upgrade & porthole!

Laurie

How do you find out which room you are in? LOL I think we booked a gty cat 9 too.

In Nassau, I wanted to check out the beach and possibly see the pirate museum. I think my kids would just love it!

We're staying at Shades of Green for the three nights immediately following the cruise, planning on a day at Epcot and the Pirate and the Princess Party March 5th at MK.

I wanted to Disney Resort hop on the 4th after we got back from the cruise (spend the entire day going from resort to resort via the Disney transportation system). I'm a bit embarassed to admit that other than the Dolphin Swan, and Contemporary, I had no idea about the other resorts until a couple of montsh ago.

Shoudl I have admitted that? LOL

Just checked and we were assigned stateroom 7138 for our cruise

Anyone else know what room (anyone know what kind of room we got?) We had a gty cat 9. This looks like a handicap accessible off the back of the ship.

Looks like we've been upgraded. We are now in room 7098 on the 7th deck! Woohoo!!

Congratulations!!!

This upgrading thing sure took the sting out of going on a three night instead of the 7 night.

We leave here in two weeks for Florida and will be there for almost a week before the cruise, and another week after the cruise (doing WDW, househunting, and more)

The anticipation is something else!

We are getting SO excited, too - we've starting packing and we're still 18 days away!

We will be doing two days at WDW after the cruise. Not long, but we're getting in free because my husband's friends work there.:yay: My DD (age 4) doesn't know that yet - we figured we'd tell her when she's having her fit about leaving the ship!

Next time, we'll definitely have to do a longer cruise (sell a kidney or something) - this time we had to work around college teaching schedules and kindergarten registration.

(Allentown, PA - not sure why that doesn't show to the left)

We're headed there from Great Falls, Montana. My husband is finishing up 20 years active duty Air Force here. We'll be moving to Florida this summer and this trip is part birthday celebrations (DS will turn 11 in March and I will be in mourning for 4-0) as well as job and house hunting.

We have our luggage set up in the computer room on card tables and have begun packing too.

I keep worrying one of us will get terribly sea sick. DH hurled on a catamaran boat trip we took off the coast of Kauai in October, so he's the one I'm most worry won't get his sea legs.

Montana - wow! I'll bet FL temperatures will feel great to you guys! Just think, next year at this time you'll be able to get Florida resident discounts!

I thought airfare from Baltimore to Orlando was steep - I really thought we'd find some discounted fares, but no luck. Can't imagine what your prices were!

I didn't even consider my DD (4) getting seasick. Can kids take ginger pills or dramamine? I'm most worried about her getting diarrhea in the kid's area (sometimes happens when she's nervous) and being kicked out for 24 hours! (Sorry for the gross topic)

Laurie

P.S. I am also "mourning" the big 4-0 in July.

We're flying out of Richmond, VA on AirTran. Our tickets really weren't too bad. I kept my eyes open for a rate drop for MONTHS. It's costing a little under $1000 for 4 of us flying roundtrip, non stop both ways.

I asked my pharmacist the other day about kids taking dramamine. They can. I need to pick some up just in case... My oldest gets car sick sometimes. He has a really, really weak stomach. :(

We leave February 25 for WDW, staying at AKL. Only 15 days to go!

Hi fellow cruisers. We are also on the March 1 Wonder cruise. Our first time on DCL. Myself, DH, and 3 DD also my brother and his son. We are from Minnesota. Question about the kids programs - do we have to sign them up for Oceaners Lab or is that something they can walk into whenever they want?

Kids can come and go as they please (or should I say as you please!) The only resrtictions are during travel times. If the kids are getting ready to travel to dinner or a movie there is a 15 minute time block prior to the move when you can't pick up your kid. Other than that you will get a schedule of everything that is happening in the clubs, what time it's happening and where it is happening. Your kids can choose to stay, or come and go per activity preference. If your kids do not have sign out privileges then you will just get paged when they are ready to go.

Hope this helps!

Jennifer

P.S. Our tickets came Friday! WOOHOO!!!!!

We rec'd our travel info packet last week too! YAY!!!

I had a dream last night that our vacation was over... And boy was I upset! What am I going to do once we return home? I won't have anything to look forward to!!!!!! :(

Hi! You go to disneycruise.com and unmder MyDisneyCruise, enter your reservation number and birth date. You fill out some info on each member of your party and can also sign up for excursions kids clubs, etc. I think you have to register your kids for the Lab too.

Anyone else donning pirate duds for Pirate Night? We are. Then we'll use them again for The Pirate and Princess Party at MK.

I can't remember if I posted this already....:confused3

I booked Palo the other day. I checked online and they had reservations for 9:00 on Saturday night. I decided to go for it. I figure we have early sitting anyway so we can "eat" with the kids at whatever restaurant we get that night and then stick them in the clubs, dress up and head for a grownup meal. We NEVER eat this late, but I figure we'll be with the kids from Sunday, 2/25 until then so we might need a break! LOL

Plus it'll be nice just chilling out as adults before we have to get back to reality.... Ugh. Why can't vacations last longer!??

BTW, do you think we will be missing anything important by dining at 9 on Saturday night??? hmmmmmm.... I hadn't considered that......

You shouldn't be missing much as you will see the show in the afternoon. Enjoy Palo, we've done the brunch twice, but are skipping on this trip.

When is Pirate night? I didn't think there was one on the three day cruise.

Do you think that they will be showing "The Bridge to Tarabithia" (sp)while we are on board?

We are getting snow here today, tomorrow, and the next day. More than enough to put me in the mood to cruise!!!!!

Jennifer

On 3-night cruises:

First night: cruise casual — no shorts, swimwear or tank tops
Second night: pirate or tropical deck party
Final night: "dress-up night" — jacket for men, dress or pantsuit for women

What kind of dress are you bringing for formal night? That's the night we go to Palo so I'm thinking of bringing a black dress I wore to dh's company dinner last year. It's not formal by any means, but it can be dressed up to be semi-formal.

I wonder about Bridge to Terabithia.... I loved that book as a kid! I am interested in seeing how they handle the tough subject in the movie version.

My daughter is so excited to see this movie! We should be able to find out this week if it is onboard.

I will probably wear a simple A-line sleevless dress that I wore last year for formal night. I am going to be packing very light as we are driving to Florida, and my husband has informed me that I will not be allowed very much packing room :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: If you want to see a picture just check out our webpage. I am actually thinking that I will probably have to do laundry our last night at Disney World.:laundy: :laundy: :laundy:

My girls are 9 (fourth grade) and 6 (1st grade). We got a slight upgrade from a cat 12 to a cat 10 which means that we we still be in an inside room, but we will get a split bath. Our room number is 2581. Is anyone near us?

We are planning to board ASAP on Thursday. We will be at the port by about 9:00 and my girls will be in the pool moments after boarding!

Congratulations!!!

Are you househunting in Florida? Sounds like it could be fun :goodvibes

Is anyone interested in getting the kids together for a meet in the port preboarding? We did this on the last cruise and it worked well. This way while in the clubs the kids might already see a few friendly faces.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

My DD is a little younger than your daughters (4), but I'm sure she'd love to meet them! Your 6 year-old would be in her "group", right?

We're packing light too - not sure what dresses I'll bring. For "tropical" night, I have a tie-dyed dress & sandals. Are "dressy" sandals OK, or does it have to be hose & heels?

If I didn't have to wear pantyhose at all this trip, I'd be a happy woman!
