Marcelines Confectionery Name Source

Walt Disney was raised on a farm near Marceline, Missouri. When I had learned of this information,I immediately thought, oh this must be the source for the name of Marcelines Confectionery in Downtown Disney.

That's what I always thought too, Gisele. I don't know if it's true, but I'm sure that's it. And when you google it, it seems the only one is in Anaheim.

This is correct....and Main Street is modeled after Main Street in Marceline Missouri.

This is correct....and Main Street is modeled after Main Street in Marceline Missouri.

Main Street is also modeled after Fort Collins, CO, but I don't think we're going to have a Fort Collins Confectionary any time soon.

My parents wanted to move to Fort Collins, CO for awhile. They went to visit and I asked my Mom if she saw the resemblance to DL's Main Street and she said no. Moms.

I was really wondering if they were related. I mean, the shops in DD don't necessarily all have a Disney connection (like Illuminations, etc.). But I kept noticing that they sold nearly the exact same food items as DL! So obviously it's a Disney company?

I believe so! Pretty much everything they sell in there can be found in either park.

I believe that it is safe to figure that Marcelines Confectionery is owned by Disney. Since many food items that are sold there, are made right in the store. The blue labeled products are made at the shop. The brown labeled products, are shipped in.
