As some of you might know this is the first Marathon at Disney I have missed since it started. So I am was hoping some of you would give me some experiences and how there races went and lets hear it from the fans did you make all your stops and get all your pictures??

I did the half (in 2:25 and change), and it was a lot of fun. The weather was much warmer than last year - I think the starting temperature was around 60F. Fan support was excellent. Running through Epcot was a hoot. I also got to run with Mr. Incredible, Elvis, and a pizza delivery guy. Elvis, I might add, looks very good for a man his age. Whatever they're doing to him on those alien spacecraft, it's working.

Overall, it was a great time, and I'm considering the full for next year.

I completed my first 1/2 marathon at WDW in 3 hours and 20 mins. I was very pleased with my time considering the HUGE crowds - the entire 13.1 miles was spent weaving in and out of others, and in turn being weaved around myself. There were spots we were merged into a single "path" and it was just frankly no where near wide enough. I have nothing to compare too, mind you; but I was disappointed in the crowded course, the lack of characters and music during the 1/2; and the amount of time spend behind the scenes looking at trailers and inhaling stinky smells

in spte of that i will not let my memory be anthing but magical for me -- i LOVE disney (obviously) and wouldn't trade my first 1/2 marathon for anything else. I crossed the fininsh line with my Mom, met some incredible people, finished, got my Donald and i'm very proud of us

There is definately room for improvement in the organization and treatment of the participants. After finishing and walking through the lot to retrieve my bag, through the lot to meet up with my friends and then through another lot to the TTC for transportation, I was getting frustrated. you as well as I know the parking lots are big and we had all just completed 13 miles! well 14 if you count the near mile walk to the start line from where the buses dropped us off

please come to our thread and share with us your past experiences at the WDW marathon and your reaction to how some situations were handled this year. TIA!
