This is the place to make your suggestings for a Saturday morning breakfast. I've noodled around with some ideas, but it's hard to do without an idea of how many people would be interested. Fresh, at the Dolphin is nice, but kind of small. Cape May would probably take a group at first seating (7:30AM!) but is kind of expensive. A food court? Pop Century's is closest to Wide World of Sports, for hitting the expo after, but Pepper Market is a more popular one (I think, from what I've read). Since our group dinner is at 4:30, breakfast should be fairly early.....but I personally don't want to get out of bed EARLY on Saturday. (8 or 8:30A may be good ::yes:: ) but this would pretty much eliminate anyone who's doing the family events that morning.

So....if you think you'd want to join in a breakfast, please post here.
Also post any of your suggestions, needs and requirements. Then from that information I can build a poll, and we'll pick what works best for the majority.

I'll start:

ibouncetoo don't care...thinking of this as a social event more than a dining experience. Would prefer not to spend big bucks. A food court works for me. Will be going to the Expo after.

I'd love to do breakfast. May or may not have family, dh & 2 kids. Anywhere is ok, will be taking disney transportation. Anytime is ok also.

Id like to do breakfast, but unfortunately I ahve no ideas for this! MAybe we could just meet at the Boardwalk and get something there?

Unfortunately I'm one of those people who will be at the kids races at 8:30 so I probably won't be able to make breakfast around that time.

Dawn, did they give you an idea when these events would be over? I just assumed it would be late morning and the participants would have had an early breakfast already. I also assumed that dining with a large group may be too time consuming for people that needed to be at Epcot by 8.

Actually I *am* planning on getting up early on Saturday morning. My thought is that it will make it easier for me to fall asleep on Saturday night, and easier to get up on Sunday for the marathon. My plan is to get up around 5 am. I know, I know - I am NOT a morning person, but I feel like I need to do this otherwise, I won't be able to fall asleep early Saturday night.

My sister and I are planning (unless the days change) to do Early Entry at MGM, so we can get our ToT and RnRC fix. Breakfast would have to be REALLY early for us to be able to make it.

Terry, you inspire me! Getting up early is important for being able to go to bed early that night. Crikey, who am I kidding, I almost NEVER sleep past 6:30 anyway. And having some extra time for cramming in a few thrill rides before my sedate sister joins me on Monday isn't a bad idea either.::yes::

I am up for Breakfast on Saturday.

I will have DH with me. Our plans are to eat breakfast, hit the Expo, and then catch some shows and a ride or two at MGM or AK. But we having a take it easy day, so our plans are flexible.

We will have a rental car, and are staying at POP Century, so we can take 2 passengers to breakfast and on to the Expo if anyone has the same plans.

I vote for a bakery (we can buy and then sit somewhere), Fresh or POP foodcourt.

I would prefer not a character breakfast because of cost - we have PS for Chef Mickey's later in the week.

Well that didn't really narrow it down any.

I e-mailed and was told kiddie races at 8:45...and they expect to be wrapped up by 10am at the latest.

Might I suggest picking a food court for convening--and doing it bright and early, say at 7 or 7:30am--figuring in transportation time of course as not everyone will have a vehicle. This way your body will be ready for an early bedtime in the evening--those who are partaking in the family events could manage to stop by for a moment for some fruit and cereal. Perhaps pick the hotel where most are staying at (post a poll)--and then those that want to join can come on over :)

I would love to do breakfast! Not too early for me, since Jellyrolls is on Friday night before, but... I can handle an 8 or 9 o'clocker maybe? I should probably be more disciplined, but i really do enjoy a good night of JR fun! I am going to post that JR thread now...

Anyway, anything sounds good to me. Preferably not a big buffet. A bakery sounds nice, but food court would be okay, too.

Could we be any less decisive? :-)

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. maybe two breakfast meets? One early (7, 7:30AM) at POP for the early risers and one at the bakery at the Boardwalk a bit later (8, 8:30, 9AM). Of course, I'll want to go to BOTH :D

I'll wait till this weekend to build a poll, in case there is some more discussion here.

I'll be at the kiddie races- Haley is entered in the 100 yard dash. Since we'll probably hang around EPCOT for the rest of the day, getting over to Boardwalk after the races would be doable.

OUr flight arrives late on Friday night, and by the time we pick up our rental car, drive to POP Century, checkin, unpack and finally sleep, we would not be early risers on Saturday.

So the later breakfast is good for us.

I accidently posted this on the dinner board, but... If we can't come ip with a time that's going to work for all of us, maybe those of us who will be at the kids races can meet up there and say hi. Either way I'll be at the dinner Saturday night.

What if you do an early risers breakfast and then an early lunch meeting--I'll be at EPCOT for the day--my family will think I'm weird, but I might be able to steer them into the direction for a DIS meet.

DD2 is in the 100 yard dash, DD4 is in the 200 yard dash. My mom will be getting her motorized scooter ASAP following the races as she needs wheels in the parks.

Early at the Boardwalk sounds good to me, but I have transportation issues. Do the buses run that early??

Yep, resort to resort transportation is a pain. Buses do start early (at least an hour before park openings) and taking the one to MGM makes the most sense......then it's a very short, and lovely walk along the water to the boardwalk. Will you post your preference on the poll we have.....this link is in my post just above yours.

Okay, I'll go vote. Even though, I'd prefer early (maybe...hmmm....), I probably vote for later because of the transportation!
