Good point to mention.

The beachside hammocks at the Poly, Solarium at the Beach Club, lounges in Wilderness Lodge and a variety of other places around the resort, however, are free game. I've even seen someone taking a conference call on their work laptop in the English Garden in EPCOT.

I’ve done several calls / half work days at Aunt Polly’s.

I am the complete opposite. If I am jumping on a Teams meeting, I am finding the background that will have the most Disney in them to invoke jealousy. LOL

That's for if I'm working on vacation, not working remotely.

My boss at the time got a prime view of a fun beverage and the Wilderness Lodge quiet pool during a very longwinded 2 hour meeting once.

Have people been able to successfully exchange pre-order merchandise?
When I searched, it looks like recently the answer is yes. What about being able to return it?
I kind of want to pre-order the Dopey pullover, but unisex sizing can really fit me weird. For some things (sweatshirts and T-shirts) I generally know what size to get, but others, like this, I don’t.

I've only read the first page of this thread, but this is exactly what DH did. He knew that then he'd have the time to spend to training for it then-retired at age 63, ran the Dopey a year later. Yesterday he was talking about how much he'd enjoyed it, but 10 years later, one 10K would be his limit!
Unfortunately it appears that all the races for the next year are sold out, otherwise I might "gift" him one.
He also talks fondly of the Wine and Dine half marathon when it was done at night. I think it started at 10:00pm, followed by an after party in Epcot only for runners and their (payed) guests. That was 10-15 years ago

I ended up deciding to delay retirement until June 2027, so I’m only doing the Half for 2027….and planning Dopey for 2028!

While the official stance is no returns, two years ago I accidentally pre-ordered two of an item. I took it to the gift shop in my hotel and they exchanged it for me for other merch with equal value. I didn't ask for a refund since it was my mistake and I didn't want to press my luck. Not an ideal solution and not a certainty another cast member would do the same, but figured I would share.

The times I have pre-ordered merch, they have let the person picking up try on the item if it is just like one or two things. The lady next to me tried on a pull over and it was too big and they went and grabbed a size down for her.

I got my link yesterday, so I'm officially registered for the half. I'm sure I'll have FOMO when the weekend comes, but right now I'm really looking forward to not having super long runs next fall. Plus, I'm spectating so I'll still get to experience the marathon.

It's not the same as running it, but I enjoyed spectating the marathon this year (due to injury). It still made me feel like part of the day. We watched the entire field go by exiting Epcot. We then watched the first finishers cross the finish line. After a brief stop back at Old Key West, we watched by the Hollywood Studios Skyliner station until the balloon ladies arrived.

I thought that I might have some Marathon Sunday FOMO this past year, but did not feel even the tinest tiny bit, not even when everyone headed off to the corrals. But I will tell you that it was soooo nice to be reading and hearing other people prep for their 20+ mile runs in November and December and look at my calendar topping out at 14.

Plus, I'm spectating so I'll still get to experience the marathon.

For me, this was the best thing ever! And frankly more fun than doing it myself.

Marathon Weekend 2025 was way too cold and wet! I'd much rather have a repeat of this year's weather.

100% - though maybe a couple of degrees cooler so they don't have to shorten the course - I know that medical was struggling with some issues. It never got to be "too hot" for me. I'd always rather run in heat than cold. (Said by someone who has never run Springtime Surprise)

It was way too cold for the vacation part of the trip. However, I LOVED it for running.
