also does anyone have experience registering someone who is 17 now but will be 18 on race day? any quirks?

I'm pretty nervous about tomorrow. I've already booked our rooms (DVC) so I guess worst case scenario is I have a Disney vacatIon with no running and major FOMO.
I want to do Goofy, but will snag just the full if Goofy is sold out by the time I get past the waiting room.

I have no intentions of registering. In the past, I would have volunteered to try for queues for others, but obviously that’s no longer feasible. I may open up a browser or two, and if there is a way around the queue id hack that is not beyond my ability to manage (with instructions), or if there is one of you that I have met IRL that I can register, I will try to help.

Hello! I'm trying to remember how to manage the POT section if I'm able to get in and register tomorrow. I have an existing POT of less than 5 hours, so should I...
1) choose less than 5 hours in the form, then go back and fill in my POT details (race, date, link) later on
or
2) choose more than 5 hours in the form, then go back and change it to less than 5 hours and add the details later on

I can't remember if you're required to add the POT details when registering if you choose less than 5 hours.

Just as a reminder, I believe these are the only things you cannot change after registration:

Email
Name
Date of Birth
Gender
Address
Phone #

I'm collecting this information ahead of time from friends in case we need to register each other. All other information can be changed later on (so don't waste time on getting POT or emergency contacts accurate for example). If you want to transfer the registration to someone else after I believe it's important to match their information exactly to their MDE account, but I've never bothered to do that.

Last year, Dopey preorders went out of stock early into general registration, but restocked like a month later. I will not waste any time doing any preorder merch until after I am registered.

Way early, and its possible that they did this to make sure the new system worked. I'm expecting it to open at around 9:45.

And I'm sure 99% of the people here know this but just in case: it doesn't matter when you enter as long as its before 10 am, and you don't get a head start on everyone if you get in early. It's a waiting room until 10 am, and then the queue opens and randomizes.

I'm going to try and sign up for the Half-Marathon. I've been the person to share a queue and have relied on someone to share one with me. We will see how it goes. I'll post if I get lucky enough to have an extra.

If my priority is getting my son in for the Dopey and I'll take whatever's left over, if one of us gets in should we complete the registration for his Dopey first since you're not in until you submit and then hope we get through a second time to get me registered, or sign both of us up at once (I'm hoping for the 5k and half).

Also, are there still plenty of charity bibs available, and approximately how much do you have to donate for one for the Dopey? If my son gets shut out of the Dopey I want to have decided ahead of time whether to just not register for anything and get him a charity bib, or register him for whatever is left.

You can register your son, check out, get the confirmation screen, and then back-arrow twice to get to the registration screen again to do your registrations. At least that's what I've done in the past (including registering for this past MW.) This is helpful if you want or need to complete transactions using different forms of payment. If it doesn't matter who pays, then do both at the same time. Just make sure that if you DO have a payment issue that it doesn't switch the names to a default/auto-fill of the main person's information if you have to go back and "fix" one of the registrations.

Do NOT rely on a 2nd window getting in before everything sells out

I'm already in for the 10k and half using my club registrations but I keep wavering back and forth about registering for the 5k. I like the 5k distance but one less morning of waking up early does sound nice. I guess I'll see if I get in tomorrow and decide then.

Extremely nervous. I keep telling myself the worst that can happen is I get shut out. I would be so sad though.

I’m super anxious. My kids are on spring break so I’m confiscating their laptops and phones. Plus I solicited help from my parents. I should have 11 devices and multiple browsers going. I’m going after the marathon and based off previous years, it’s the last to sell out so hopefully I can get in.

P.s. I may be stress eating today. I’ve eaten a lot of the boys Easter candy so now have to go buy more candy for their baskets!!
