Marathon Weekend 2026

For those of us who don’t make it to the Star Wars mile before it gets light out, here's a look at it in darkness. A little different than I expected? My memory of the Dark Side Half was lots of fog and green lasers shooting across.

I’m in line in the toll booth. Why are there so many people here??? lol. Then gonna go get my baguette.

Thank you to all of you for a great week. I really appreciate all of you and consider you my friends. It was so nice to see you in the mornings and at the meetup. Im sorry you had to see me, though thankfully most times it was dark.

I hope you call take great pics at the parks and celebrate what you accomplished. Some were hurt and in pain but know that completing the races is just a tiny part of what you accomplished in training and in months before. A medal is not enough to represent what you did and you should be proud.

I am off to rest my feet at some random hotel and then spend a couple of days at Universal before I fly back to Houston. Don't hesitate to contact me if you are ever there and want a tour pf NASA's Mission Control.If anyone has an issue with their coin (like magnets are loose, etc) then let me know and I can get you a fixed one.

I will take you up on that tour if I get back to Houston. And the medal from you is every bit as treasured as the ones I received at the end of the races.

What a blast today was! The slowest I’ve ever run a marathon (6:51), the longest marathon I’ve run (28.5 according to Garmin), and some of the most fun I’ve had. Every character stop, two rides, and of course a finish line margarita. Congrats to all the finishers! And thank you to everyone out there cheering us on! That’s hard work and much appreciated.

Jealous of the marg! That was what I wanted, but I think I finished too fast (before 11) and had to settle for a beer that my friend was able to grab me.

Headed home this afternoon - hope those of you out doing DATW or other things enjoy celebrating! I wanted to thank everyone for the words of advice, encouragement, etc during this weekend. It really elevated my first (and honestly, probably only Dopey). I think I'd do a 10k/half or marathon alone instead in the future (but my friend cheering me on felt FOMO and might persuade me in the future).

I regret not being able to make it to any of the meetups! Consider that one of my main goals for a future race event (TBD).

When I heard about the rude influencer I was thinking of someone else who I know runs from A. Not sure who this is, the vid randomly came across my feed.

Mouse Gen is a Disney vlogger. Not sure if he's the rude influencer. I don't know about his non running content but he posts a lot of Disney full race videos usually run at 7-8 MM pace. I have only seen runsota's full course videos for this year. The mousegen ones haven't shown up yet.

Yeah I talked to mouse gen a few times and watch all of his videos. He is fast and nice. Soo supported to me and his wife is really nice too.. does not seem the rude type.
