It’s been 3.5 years since my last registration, so I’m going to refresh my memory again. I’ve been keeping up with the thread, but I love this synopsis for my husband to read over as he will be my Second in Command at our Race Registration Command Post tomorrow. (Hopefully) Happy registration day! I’ll be working, but bringing my phone and iPad and attempting to register for Goofy. I’m debating bringing my personal laptop as well, but I’d have to sign in with my phone’s hotspot and I think that’d probably just slow down my phone so it’s probably not worth it. Good morning everyone and happy registration day! I already have registration jitters and am unable to focus on real life. I'm trying for Dopey for myself and the 5k for my son, and helping my friend register for her first Dopey.

I meant to bring my personal laptop to work, but completely forgot. I might ask some coworkers who already think I'm insane anyways to open a link or two for me.

Ideally, only the last corral should be the "open" corral. The rest of them should have proof of time attached to them. But I don't think rD has the resources to check every last registration, so they have to let some go and "take our word for it"

I agree. I felt so bad for my friend who did Princess with me and was honest about her paces. She said 2:45-3:00 for the half as her estimate because she wasn't quite sure she could do sub 2:45 after doing the 5k and 10k and didn't want to lie. She ended up in the second to last (or maybe even last) corral because of all the 2:30-2:45 people. I didn't think to warn her that so many people just choose that (and she underestimates herself because she finished in 2:23 net, 3:13 clock). I feel like they could get away with expanding the POT and then just only actually checking 50% of them. Not tell anyone that they only check 50% obviously. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would think there are way less people putting an incorrect POT on purpose.

I’m going to stick to my plan of skipping Dopey this year even though I love the themes, So after running almost every combination of races around in my head for the last 2 months my plan today is to register for Goofy.

All this POT talk. Yall don't even know how hard I think about having DS2 bib mule a local race for me, except for the part where it's cheating, and the other part where I'm 99% sure I couldn't get him to voluntarily run a HM.


And now I'm off to track down every available device in the house. Ahhhh the perks of having a child who is grounded from electronic devices....I have bonus devices to use today!

Same here. I have been able to get into Dopey the last three years because of people on this board sharing a link. Since I am already registered through a charity, going to jump into the queue today and hopefully be able to grab a link or two for people to use. Good luck to everyone today!!!

By all accounts I should be less stressed this year than last year. Last year I was at 40k feet on inflight wifi trying to register me for Dopey and DS for the half. On one device.

This year I'm just registering myself for Goofy and I have 4 devices (2 MacBooks, iPad and phone) and yet I still have the pre-registration anxiety. This is usually the point in pre-registration madness that I start questioning why I'm not signed up for Club rD

This is something easily accomplished with some coding and AI. We know rD (and Disney in general) needs to invest in IT, and this would save them resources AND increase guest satisfaction. That said I have zero expectation they will ever do it. Oh well.
