Just noticed that our pin board for race weekend pins is out of space. That means we'll need a new, larger one which is sure to have extra space for future weekends.

On my trip back I was in front of a couple who were hacking up their lungs, so I'm expecting something in the near future.I have things to post about the weekend, but am not up to it. I had a doctor’s appointment this morning, and I have the flu. It’s too late to start Tamiflu, since my symptoms started Sunday. That’s why I disappeared off the thread, and we missed DATW. Anybody else sick?
I also wore my ears home. No strange looks at MCO, but I did get a few looks in O’Hare and comments while boarding the plane homeAt the airport, heading home
I couldn't figure out how to pack my ear hat, so I'm kind of half wearing it. I have the back tucked in the way they were when they handed them to us, and I wrapped the strap around my headphones and down to the back of my head. It wouldn't hold up to wind, but it's not falling down

Indeed. Started talking to the guy sitting next to me in the corral last year. He lives within a few miles of me and goes to the church just down the street from mine. It is a sm-ll world, after all....Was looking at the marathon results and noticed that someone from my town finished right after me. We are listed consecutively on the results list. So I looked at my pictures from the race and we crossed the finish line about a second apart. That is kind of crazy that out of all the people on the course, two people from the same town crossed the finish line at the same time.
i got a cold, luckily no flu or covid but its tiring so i hope you feel better soonI have things to post about the weekend, but am not up to it. Me! Grabbed a half bib while driving home yesterday. I am also a CA native and will grab that C2C while visiting the family.Anyone doing the Disneyland Halloween Half? Contemplating now about trying to head out there to get my coast to coast medal. Since I am originally from California, figured I can call it a trip to see family with a quick stop for a run mixed in. Guess I will check out that thread.
Not much, it's dead.We did AH at MK too and Tiana’s wasn’t on the open attractions list at all. We arrived at 7:00pm and headed straight back to her because I haven’t ridden yet....but we’re promptly informed that if we didn’t have LL or a VQ, we were outta luck and she would be closed for the AH event. Boooooo
It was kind of crazy to be at an empty park. Great for riding of course and great for tired Dopey legs, but I felt rushed to try and squeeze everything in from 7-1. We had the full allotted time and still only managed one ice cream and not every attraction. I’d maybe try AH at HS, but will prob opt for a regular park day next time. Fingers crossed that it’s next year!
While driving home, I managed to score a half marathon bib for DL next month. I have been waiting for those bibs to drop because I want that Coast to Coast.....even though I do NOT love that backlog of Anaheim course. Lucky for me I had preemptively bought airline tix in hopes of getting a late bib.
Guess I’ll pop on over to that thread and see what I’ve missed.
I probably would've gotten looks at Midway, except that I landed at my departure gate (and in my departure plane, but it was a different flight number so I had to de-plane and re-board a half hour later) and didn't walk around muchI also wore my ears home. Very impressive that you made it home with that box! Our Gideon's box was empty by the morning of the Half Marathon!Well I guess MW is truly over now. My Gideons box is empty.![]()

I just connect through Chicago since I fly out of a smaller regional airport. There are a few who live in the greater Chicago area though! You've both mentioned airports I'm well aware of living nearby! I should have done the meet up for sure had I known some well known posters live potentially nearby! This was my first MW and have to try and convince my spouse to let me run it again since I came home with a pretty nasty IT band sprain.
I fly out of ORD so in the future maybe there could be an airport group too
Running in Makeup used to have her tracking public. But last year she was a victim of stalking at a RunDisney race. I don’t know the details but I do know the police were involved. After that incident, her tracking and results are no longer public.I get it for Jack since that's a character, and he's not trying to be an influencer or whatever. But someone mentioned runninginmakeup, who not only is an influence/content creator and chooses to put her life why there, but she is getting special treatment for it. I just don't get wanting to live your life so publicly, but then wanting to hide how long it took you to run a race.
Maybe I'm just old and grumpy and don't get it![]()
Me! I rarely fly out of MDW since I'm in the Northwest suburbs, but am at ORD every couple of months. I also went to Purdue for a couple of years and I'm guessing you have a connection to the school as well. I hope you can make another Marathon Week and join us for at least some of the meet-ups!I just connect through Chicago since I fly out of a smaller regional airport. I just connect through MDW to get back to MN, since Southwest doesn't fly direct from MSP to MCO and I won't fly anyone else because of all the luggage I bring for runDisney. You've both mentioned airports I'm well aware of living nearby! i feel like that coin is just tooooo small. I will have to step up my design next time and go Flava-Flav.I also wore my ears home. At RDU a woman next to me looked over, slowly smiled, and said "Did.... did you go to Disney?"I showed remarkable restraint in not telling her they were Marathon Ears! She was on her way home from a Disney cruise so we commiserated a bit about returning to the cold.
I'm healthy so far but my husband and son are not so lucky. It's not covid, but something with a fever and lots of congestion.
@Z-Knight thank you again for the Dopey coin! It's amazing and it made the rounds with me for medal photos. Hope you're feeling better soon!

hmm...odd because im pretty sure she uses her full name on the youtubes and in Texas you just need to go to the county CAD and look her up quite easily. assuming she ownes a house that is. but in Texas we own the guns!!! lolRunning in Makeup used to have her tracking public.
