I'm booked at the Coronado Springs tower. I really wanted Beach/Yacht Club, but that $1500+ difference is nothing to sneeze at.

I seriously considered the Coronado Springs tower based on recommendations I got here, but the main drawback for me was only having the bus as an option to get anywhere. But I agree that the price difference for YC is nothing to scoff at; it's just usually the only full vacation I take in any given year and I'm splurging.I'm booked at the Coronado Springs tower. The past two MW’s I’ve only been able to apply my AP discount to the first couple nights of my stay (Tues, Wed). You aren’t able to apply discounts to only part of a res so I make a new reservation with the discounted nights and then shorten my original stay (Thurs-Mon). I’ve been able to get the same room type which allows me to not have to switch rooms even though I have two confirmation #’s. I plan to do the same this year. How does it work with AP rates typically?
^^ Love Gran Destino! I’ve stayed there for past MW’s and am staying there again for MW 2024. I also was hesitant with bus only, but I’ve never had any issues. And the location is perfect for all the parks and especially race mornings.I seriously considered the Coronado Springs tower based on recommendations I got here, but the main drawback for me was only having the bus as an option to get anywhere.

Drinks at Barcelona's will be on me on the Sunday for any DISers that want to celebrate and drink well with others
This is fairly normal. Each year select pools at select resorts are down for refurb especially during historically cooler months when pools won't be as busy.I'm on a chat for MW, and some travel agents were advised several pools will be undergoing maintenance work January to April 2024. They didn't specify dates. The pools are the Fantasia pool at All-Star Movies, the Fuentes del Morro pool at Caribbean Beach, the Doubloon Lagoon pool at French Quarter, and possibly the main pool at Coronado Springs.
Speaking of hotel booking, for the DVC owners on here, depending on when your checkin date is, we're right at that 7 month mark if you want to try to switch resorts!
We switched the first part of our stay to AKV Savannah view. Will stay at BLT for the actual race weekend, and then see what's available for after
Yep. The main pool at Saratoga closed for work during or right after MW this year, and was closed during PW as well. This is fairly normal. Each year select pools at select resorts are down for refurb especially during historically cooler months when pools won't be as busy.
I didn't see a single studio available for my dates. Not without piecing together a split stay.Took a look at what's available. Pickings are already getting slim, especially from people who are transferring at 7 months from what would be 1/1/24 and yesterday.
Y’all making your 2024 reservations and here I am, wondering if I might want to book a visit in a couple weeks!![]()
The marvel movies have by and large all been very well done. And you don’t need to have watched all the others to enjoy the guardians of the Galaxy movies. I would definitely recommend seeing the first two in order and then seeing the third one that just came out.I have not been on Guardians yet. I've only been to Epcot once since it opened and didn't get on. I want to ride it but I have not seen a single Marvel movie so I have no idea what the story is but I still want to see the technology.
Guardians was my intro to the MCU. I had seen a few one-offs (Homecoming, Black Panther, Iron Man 1 way back in the day) but my roommate was watching it so I ended up watching too and loved it. Then I went and watched the entire MCU in like one month to fill in the small gaps, LOL! I finished in time to catch Endgame as my first MCU release day theater experience and nothing will top that. The marvel movies have by and large all been very well done. Yes, they tie in with the rest of the Marvel universe, but that will not keep you from enjoying the guardians movies has a standalone trilogy
And here I thought you said you were buying drinks in Barcelona. That’s a short flight from here. Now I'm confused. We're double-booked at Swan and GDT and I can't figure out which. Maybe we'll keep GDT since that's where all the party people seem to be at.
