SAFD: Lots and lots of good suggestions here so far!

I'd love to see a special medal or something for doing any multiple races in a weekend, even if its not a challenge. The challenges they offer are not available to everyone and but people still do multiple races outside of those traditional challenges (I've done 5K + Half at Princess Weekend and that's still 2 races even though its not the challenge) and it would be cool to have some acknowledgement of that from runDisney. Even if its not a medal, maybe a pin or something else small.

SAFD: Mix up the Powerade flavors. I am still avoiding blue Powerade right now. LOL.

I would also say offer a different variety of food options on the marathon course rather than just bananas and energy chews. Maybe some pretzels, peanuts, Nutrigrain bars, etc.

If I never had blue Powerade again after Marathon Weekend that would be fine by me

I wish they would have photos/mock-ups for the items they do have available for pre order. I probably would have ended up ordering more though, so maybe not a great idea.

I also like the idea of the “I did it” shirts only being sold after the races, with a bib and medal. I lucked out that they still had them available after the half at wine and dine last year, because I didn’t want to buy a shirt saying I did something I hadn’t done yet.

Having never pre-ordered, are pre-orders returnable or are they final sale? I normally don't like to order something and return it but given the demand for race merchandise, I'm sure if they allowed you to return it immediately on the spot they would quickly find another buyer

I don’t think so. I think all pre orders are final sale.

Another thing I just thought of. How about not putting the presale pickup in the same place as the merch sales. Waiting in the same line just to pick up items I already purchased was ridiculous

THIS! Or at least have a separate line and control the entrance/exit so you can't skip the other line. (Or, make it a secret perk of preordering!)

Good Morning runDisney All-Stars! For today’s Sundays Are For Disney it’s time to put ourselves on the runDisney staff.

What is something you would change with runDisney to improve the runner experience?

They NEED to figure out the merch situation. It is ridiculous. I am only running the marathon...I should be able to get merch for my first marathon merchandise without having to come 4 days early... I do not care what they do, more pre sale merch including our discounts (with showing what it will look like) or restricting to just runners ( i realize they would buy a 5k to get in but I am okay with that it is better than what is happening now) and REALLY restricting the number you can get. Apparently you can buy 2 of every size.... Disney needs to fix this, this is my biggest issue with them right now, merch and not selling APs (but they is a different issue)

2nd bathrooms in the corrals. Sometimes they have them but they need bathrooms in the correls that way you do not lose your spot just going to the bathroom.

If Marathon registration is (hopefully) going to be in April this year, then when will W&D registration open? I think that runDisney would want at least a month between registrations, so that would imply W&D registration would begin in March. Given that it's mid February now that may not happen.

Wine & Dine registration was just announced for March 22. I think we're right on track for an April registration date for Marathon Weekend. I'm a little surprised they didn't go ahead and announce both sets of dates.

I'm surprised they're doing a registration right before SS weekend. I would also think that they would do the summer series before MW? Maybe?

I’m hoping I’ll get approved to take time off for W&D registration that close to taking off SS weekend

also I don’t think they will do summer anymore as now all the main races have virtual options

Re. POT - Accept a 15K for the marathon. I'm not range to achieve a POT, but looking at the local race calendar, there are quite a few 15Ks and half marathons, but absolutely nothing in-between. 15K is pretty darn close to a 10-miler.

Disney is killing me today! First the fact that Genie is the theme for the W&D challenge and now THIS. I had hoped to have more time to decide whether I was up for another Dopey attempt.

What do we think the chances are that they will announce the Princess 2023 themes before the Marathon Weekend registration? I absolutely cannot do three runDisney weekends in a row, but if one of the Princess themes is Sleeping Beauty, I must do that! I know that they did Sleeping Beauty in 2019 and 2020 (fairies) so the odds aren't good, but with my luck...

Alright I am officially excited and immediately anxious! I do this to myself every year, get worked up into a frenzy over registration! Really wish they had kept the DVC early registration. I joined DVC one year too late.

They did away with AP and DVC early registration, sadly. Only Gold and Platinum Club RunDisney members get it now.
