Marathon Weekend 2016

Yes, there will be a different corral assignment for the 5K/10K.

In 2014 I was in E for half/full and A for 5K/10K.
In 2015 I was in G for half/full and B for 5K/10K.

I could use some help with this as well for the list I'm making. If anyone could chime in their 2014/2105 Dopey corral assignments of half/full vs 5K/10K it will allow me to make better estimates. Thanks!
In 2015 I was in B for the 5K/10K and I for the half/marathon. :)

Sorry about that, didn't know it would be an issue. However, if it makes others feel better (ehh maybe??) I could have found everyone's bib #s and names using the link we originally used to find them last week. So you aren't necessarily posting new information.

I don't think the number is as big of a deal. I think at this point if someone wants a number they could go to the active link and play around until they found a number. I think i's a bigger issue to post a picture of a bib. I don't know that you need to change anything, but I was just trying to say that it doesn't necessarily make someone overly paranoid to not want to post their bib number

Thanks!

This is what I have so far

5K/10K = Half/Full corral

A = A,B,C,D,E
B= G,H,I,J
C=K
D=L
E=M
F=

I have not been able to find a F Dopey bib to match the 5K based on my current needs of matching.

Man, this thread is blowing up! I'm glad we are getting close.

Race: Full
Name: Marc
Bib#: 82
Dis'er Name: RunDisneyDad
Costume: TBD
Corral: A
Early Bird/Late Arriver to corral: Early
Front/Middle/Back lining up in the corral: Middle
Expected Pace: 7:10 - 7:15

Thanks for putting this together!
Costume suggestion - Meb Keflezighi...you're one fast dude!

I would advise people not to post pictures of their bibs with the number visible, though - that's apparently what people look for when they're making counterfeit bibs. Just the bib number alone won't get them into the race if they can't create something that looks like a real bib, but if there's a picture, they can print that on good quality paper and hope nobody's looking too closely on race day.
I was going to post the same thing. If you're going to do a "flat runner" picture or something similar on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, whatever, make sure you cover your bib number. I wrote about it in my trip report from September, but for the first time in a race I saw a couple of bandits that had clearly printed out bibs. :sad2:

Something like this makes it harder for people to take your bib number:

No they take your bib number and a picture of the bib and just print out a copy of it and then wear it to the race start. It happened a lot at Boston in 2014 t and some fairly prominent people got caught. I think the wife of the founder of foursquare was one of the people. People found out because when they looked at their race pictures they saw lots of other people running with their bibs.

Gotcha. I was afraid they were picking up my bib lol. I was thinking HEY my race!! But that is horrible. People are the worst sometimes.

I've been lurking over a year now and I'm finally so excited I can't lurk any longer. Thanks for all the great info and links to finding bib numbers and corral placements. I got so excited this morning I headed out for a 5 mile run and ran faster than I have all training season. My friend and I are in coral J which was a big surprise to us!

Welcome! As a fellow long time lurker (umm... maybe like 3 years :rolleyes1), I felt making this comprehensive dis'er list might get more people like I used to be to join in on the fun. If you give me your info, I'll add you to the list. We've got 2 in J for the full and 3 in J for the half.

Did a quick and dirty calculation of the corral sizes for the half and full. It may err a couple people or so either way, but it'll give everyone an idea of their corral size. Sorry, I'm at work so don't have time to QA! :) And apologies if someone else has already posted something similar.

Thanks for doing this!
It's interesting to me that for the Half, the number of bibs in the corrals is a lot more "exact," where in the marathon is more "approximately" (meaning, the half will have 2000 in one corral and the marathon will have 1999). I know that's a nitpicky thing to notice, but it really jumped out at me as being interesting.

Thanks for this. It's really interesting to see such a high number of Goofy/Dopey in the last corral, P. I wonder if this was similar in years past or a product of something Disney has seen in past results.
