Expected Pace around 10:30/mile hopefully

Thanks @DopeyBadger for putting this all together

I can't figure out what's going on with the corrals, last year only for the full bibs, not including Dopey or Goofy there were about 1200 runners in corral O with an estimated time of 6:30 and around 2,500 in corral P with times over 6:30.This year corrals L,M,N,O and P all have estimated finish times of 6:30+ and about 8,000 runners, that's more than double last year's 6:30+ estimated finishers, what happened, are there a bunch of new runners with no POT or do people just not care about sending in their POT,or maybe runners just got slower??

Alright everyone. There does seem to be some interest in a comprehensive dis'er guide for corrals and spectators. I am willing to put that together. Please give me the following information if you wish to be included.

I will put your time though the calculator based on your projected pace as to when you'll hit key areas and then spectators can keep an eye out for you.

Race: Dopey!
Name: Derek Brown
Bib# 24xxx
Dis'er Name: GrandAdmiralStrife
Costume: 5K - Classic Stormtrooper, 10K Darth Vader, 1/2 Boba Fett, Full - possibly Bikini Leia. Yep.
Corral: J
Early Bird/Late Arriver to corral: we'll see :p
Front/Middle/Back lining up in the corral: Back
Expected Pace: 16min/mile (first time doing this event)

So how far apart do the corrals start? Is it every 5 min? 10? I'd like to figure out how much of a 'head start' I have on the Sweeps :p

edit: removed bib number

How are people getting the corral assignment? I just see a bib number on the waiver.

Update: Duh. They have it on the runDisney site.

The corrals start as little as 2 min apart and as much as 7 min apart. I am including that information in my document I'm making. I will include the "Balloon Ladies" in my listing so that you can see approximately when they will be at each milestone. This will be a guess so please don't hold me to it.

Also, anyone participating in Kid's races can send me info too. The Kids races this year are not on the WWOS ESPN track, but on the soccer fields instead (see Event Guide pg 30/31).

Well, it seems that the corral assigned this year are slightly different from last year...so I won't be in corral I as I thought :(

Here's what I got:
10K - corral B
Half - corral H

Send me more info and I'll include you in the list.

Dis'er Name: mightyduck001

Front/Middle/Back lining up in the corral: I like to be on the side.
Expected Pace: Marathons are always kind of a crapshoot for me--it could be in the 10s, could be in the 12s, and I do stop for characters.

We need waivers for the pasta in the park party? This seems weird to me....

Dopey
Devon
20525
Dopey Devon
5k none (wearing a 48.6 raw threads top), 10k sorcerer mickey, half cinderella, full minnie.
C for half/full, think I'll be in A for the 5/10 although I'll be dropping back to B to run the 10k with my bf.
Early Bird! (being late to races stresses me out)
Middle, although I'm usually not too bothered. For the Half we will be at the back as my poor sis is just back from injury.
NA - I'll be in corral B for 10k with bf, and my lil sis (who is in C for half as well) is back from injury so we will be going really slow/walking. Plus I'm injured as well so theres that. I'll probably have a better idea closer to the time, not that this helps you much!

@DopeyBadger totally understand about running on feel, but wishing you all the luck in the world with those goals - that would be some achievement! I've experienced both races that I was fully prepared for go bad and races that shouldn't have gone well be class this year! Even with serious athletes you never know how you're gonna feel on the day.

Can I just say my excitement level for this event has gone up a million percent in the last few days?? :yay:

Race: Dopey!
Name: Heather
Bib#: 21xxx
Disname: BigEeyore
Costume: Sparkle Skirts for all races but haven't decided yet
Corral: D
Probably early bird?
Probably toward the front
Expected pace: Hmm...typical long run pace is 9:30 but all bets are off by Sunday!

@dancingtodisney , @michigandergirl , @stitchnj , @rteetz , @AThrillingChase : what did you get?

Firmly in I over here! Or I guess I was a little close to H. But I am fine with I. Per last year, should start about 20 minutes after gun time. Back at PHM I think I was in K, because I used my injured TOT POT. But I still had minimal crowding and got through the castle with only a small slow down. I will have to do some weaving, but oh well!

I think it is more or less to make you agree to cancelation policies and blah blah blah if I remember my breakfast one from earlier this year.

My guess is your much older tho so we couldn't be twins lol.
Aw come on. Don't make me pack my racing shoes. I don't prefer to think of it as being older, I think of it as having a more reasonable boston qualifying time.

FYI, looks like monorail transport is not listed for the 5K/10K in the event guide (credit to @ChrisNY2). It does appear to be listed as normal for the half/full.
two years ago when we were at the Poly we had to take buses for the 5 and 10k. The monorail didn't start operating till later in the day.

First thank you for doing this DopeyBadger!

Costume - Middle aged runner :) No costumes and not sure what I am running in yet.
Corral - D
there will be a shocking number of people wearing that same costume.

Race - Goofy
Name - Ben
Bib# - 30025

Expected Pace - 6:30ish for the half while moving, with stops for all characters. For the full, slow enough to get a margarita ... so whatever that is.
You can hang with us in D for the full. It will be one of our guys first fulls so I am not sure what the pace will be though.
