No they take your bib number and a picture of the bib and just print out a copy of it and then wear it to the race start. It happened a lot at Boston in 2014 t and some fairly prominent people got caught. I think the wife of the founder of foursquare was one of the people. People found out because when they looked at their race pictures they saw lots of other people running with their bibs.

Will keep an eye out if I start in D for the full

If I ever bandit a race with a fake bib, I'm going all out and using an elite's name. I'm a doughy 5'11" white guy ... so I'm thinking Meb would work. Or maybe Shalane.

You can also get your bib number from your waiver on the runDisney site. They also have there the corral breakdowns by bib number.

I "think" that since you have 609XX in the 10k and are in corral B that it is most likely that with my 708XX bib in the 5k that I will be in Corral B for that race. This is me just throwing darts with guesses.

I think will be in the same corral!! My 5k bib# 707xx!

Long time lurker on this board, but wanted to come out and say "hi, my name is Dianna" This will be my second RD event, and first half marathon! I will be in corral K! I was so excited about my placement, I decided to add another day to my trip (come in Wednesday, versus Thursday)!

Through the process, I realized I didn't update my MDE address to my home address instead of the Orbitz address (when you book through Orbitz, it changes your address to Chicago). /facepalm MagicBands shipped yesterday and are on their way to Chicago. According to Disney, there's really nothing I can do since I booked through Orbitz. Anybody have experience on this? I'm assuming I can just use one of my other sets of MBs and/or get some grey ones while we're there?

Welcome to the crazy runner thread!

So long as you have older magic bands that are already linked to your MDE account you will be able to use them. Just ensure that they are still active (you can do this in MDE under Magic Bands) and you'll be fine. Worst case they will be able to take care of you at check in using your old magic bands, but you shouldn't have any issues. We actually collect magic bands and bring down bags of them so that we can wear different colours each day...no issues.

Thanks Mike and Barca! I want to deactivate them, because I am fairly sure Orbitz will not be forwarding them my way. I've booked through them SO many times and I can't believe this is the trip I forgot to update my address on. haha! Do you know an easy way to identify which colors were sent to me in my most recent order? As of now, I plan on rummaging through our boxes for a process of elimination approach.

What's really sad is...I think this was the last time I was going to order MBs because it would complete the collection. I just don't remember off the top of my head which colors I ordered.

The Magic Band page on MDE on the Disney website actually shows you the magic bands in chronological order, complete with colour and the name you chose. It also shows the unique RFID for each band if you use the same name every time.
