That is awesome!!! Great job. That's a big PR!
I just wanted to drop an update on my first half I did yesterday! I know many of you on here gave me such great support so I though a recap would be nice for anyone getting ready for one too. I did a "Wheels off" half marathon in Duluth, MN. There were only about 160-180 people running it which was so nice since it wasn't congested - especially where I was in the back HA. The main event was an inline marathon so it was really inline focused. The course was awesome! When we had to be at the start about an hour before beginning it was about 45 degrees and the whole course was right along Lake Superior. The temperatures were perfect and the view was gorgeous the whole time. They really sell it on running on Interstate 35 and going through the tunnels but personally that part was the worst for me - the pavement was grooved for freeway traffic and the sun hit it in a way that was not good for your brain lol. I much preferred the scenic views of the lake and the city from afar - of course getting closer to the city means you're almost done.
All in all I'm very happy with how it went! My goal was to finish with 13 minute mile pace and I was able to finish right at the 12 minute mile pace which was way faster than my training runs and very surprising! Entered my proof of time for the marathon and I'm excited to enjoy the upcoming halfs I have including Wine & Dine knowing I can actually do the distance.

Thanks again for all of your support! I can't wait to talk more about training and prep for a full with everyone and to actually do the full in January!
