I did something today I have NEVER done before. I got out of bed early to exerecise!
I did TM for 2 miles at 3.8-4.0 mph and then I did 20 min Winsor Pilates as my cool down. Then I got ready and went to work.
Monica, I can't be much help on the TM pick. Ours is a Pro-Form 625 PT about 3 years old now so I am sure that there are different types now.
Karen, Loved the shoe story. Sorry, it made me smile too.
At least you are able to talk about it.
I run with powersteps orthotics in my shoes. It gives me better support and now my achilles tendon hasn't been giving me any problems. (Just my knee, but it's kind of a different problem. Doesn't hurt when I run, only when I kneel--So I haven't been kneeling when I pray.)

Molli, I admire your dad for doing the marathon. How cool! I hope he is happy too. Take care, that sore throat thing I would guess is the virus that was going around here. I hope you feel better soon.
Ashley, thanks for posting your workout. I may ease into something like that soon. I used that sort of method when I was prepping for my 5ks last year. It really does work.
