Marathon pictures are up!

I love looking at the race photos! Thanks so much, Maura! (And I loved seeing you when I was still on the course as well -- Thanks for being there!)

I always look like death warmed over in these pics, and this marathon is no different. I have a friend who is actually from Kenya, but not considered an "elite" runner even though his average 5K time was in the very low 16 minute range. At any rate, in his race pics, even at that pace, he looks like he's putting forth a very minimal effort, he looks so loose and relaxed, and his face shows how much he's enjoying it. I wish I could look like that in my pics!

Anyone else think the quality is not as good as last year?

Last year there was beautiful pix of the finish banner in full with all the runners.Nice pix of the start with everyones lot of photos.I am disappointed.

I totally agree. Last year I had to choose between 25 pictures. This year, all of 5, and even those are not that good at all. I too was hoping for the start picture, as I worked my way up to the front of Corral A to see if I could get a glimpse of my head! No ordering this year:(

None of us seem to be in there. The same four start photos are showing for each of us (dh, dd and myself). I had my number on my leg and lost my jacket one mile into the course. dd was uncovered the entire time. Is it possible they are still putting them in or will we have to search all the lost and found photos?

well it looks like I'm looking at the full photos. Is there another link for the 1/2?

ok, found us. This was our first Disney, so there are some ok shots (some cute ones to) but no castle. Guess I have to go looking through all the lost and found.

Come on folks. Are you REALLY expecting nice bright and cheery? It was cold, wet, sleety, windy, frigid. It was not a picnic for the photographers either. Frankly I am surprised that there are as many photos as there are on their site. There were a lot fewer photographers on course. Just like voluteers these folks are free lancers using their own equipment. I am sure that many of these local photographers were no shows due to the weather.

Being our first Disney race, I was HOPING for some decent photos. I do have a great one at the finish that I'm thankful for, but just wanted that castle shot. Made sure our numbers were showing and saw two photographers on the way out, but guess we weren't in those actual shots. I didn't expect bright sunny photos, as I've never run an endurance race in the sun, it has rained in every single one of them, so I looked like a drowned rat by the end, but the joy of crossing the finish in Disney is evident on my face and that I am glad for.

You running Disney next year.... I may want to alter my plans......OK kidding.

I noted only two photographers at the castle on either day and when I ent through only one was shooting. I was fairly certain of not geting a Castle Shot.

I'm beginning to think that my friends will never run with me, lol. I also the the 3-day Breast Cancer walk and we got hit with TWO nor'easters, so I'm starting to think it is ME! I am really 'hoping' to do the full next year. Got a Donald, now I want a Mickey :goodvibes

Amazingly, this is the best race for pictures for me so far. I got a good one of me with my arms raised crossing the finish line, one from the castle and a couple of others. Of course there are also a large number of pictures posted under my name that don''t have me in them at all!

As I exited the castle there were 2 photographers right off to the left. They posed you in front of the castle and took pics. The line was maybe 20 sec. But, that is not showing. need to go to the lost and found.

bib 52064 for the half and 21843 for the full

I'll come clean! Bib number 7433. My first and last marathon! Back to the 1/2's for me. Seems like I picked the worst year "weatherwise" for both training and running. Yes, the short sleeves and shorts were probably not the smartest move, but then again I was a rookie. I do need to thank a volunteer who gave me some gloves at mile 18 after I tossed mine at mile 12. My hands were numb and I think the bio-freeze didn't help! Thanks all for your support on this board and I'll see you on Saturday next year!

I was bib #42188 for the half and # 15639 for the full. I had to search lost and found for my picture in front of the castle from Sunday morning. I pre ordered them at the Expo since it was cheaper to get the Goofy package. But I haven't heard anything from them - I would have assumed I would have gotten an email or something by now.

I'm going to be vain and say I liked mine :goodvibes I smiled in all except for one. I think by smiling, I hoped I wouldn't feel (or look) as bad as I did. Going back to the hotel was a different story - no smiles there, just a grimace and chattering teeth.
