maquettes

we have a mufasa maquette and a scar maquette. They are each number 22 out of the 500 that were made. They each cost about $975 in 1994.
I'm wondering if anyone had any idea what they cost now.

Any maquette collectors out there?

Maquette's are 3 dimentional sculptures used by animators as a reference in drawing characters. Disney Auctions has a bronze reproduction of Snow White, originally sculpted by Marc Davis, up for auction on ebay now if you want to look at one. The auction also has more information about the role the Walt Disney Company played in the use of maquette's.

Nice DA Snow White huh?? They had a resin one up a few weeks ago that looked exactly like the original. Same color and everything. That one was less expensive.
