Anyone that has gone to SW in October, did you ride Manta? How long was the wait? And last but not least, is it worth riding?

My sister and I are coaster freaks. We'll be going back to Orlando next year. We plan on spending a day at SW. Our main objective is to ride Manta. We're wondering how long the wait is and when's the best time to go.

It should not be to bad then. We went 4th of July weekend and made sure we were at the gates about 1/2 hour before they opened and was the first to be let in the park. The held us for about another 10 minutes right before Manta then let us go again. We were the first on the second train front row. We did this only once as when we got off the line was already out the entrance and over and hour. So I would say get there right in the morning and ride with no trouble.:thumbsup2

We were there last week. I wasn't planning on riding it because when we got there at 11:00 a.m. the wait was already at an hour. But, around 4:30 after we saw the Dolphin show, my father and I walked over to Kracken and walked right up to it and then as we were leaving noticed that Manta only had a 25 minute wait (at around 5:30), so we went and rode that too. It was AWESOME!

I was there last Mon. Arrived at 9 when the park opened, walked straight to Manta- no wait. Rode Manta twice (in front row) by 9:40. Headed to Kraken- once again no wait. Rode twice (front and back row). Finished with coasters by 10:20.

Last Tuesday I went in around 2pm. The wait was 25 mins. I didn't go then, but I went on right before park closing after the last believe show. Again the wait was like 25 mins, I was playing my gameboy the whole line, so I didnt pay attention. But they only had two trains/one station running, which of course makes the wait a bit longer. It's totally worth it, but I'd suggest going on Kraken first so it won't be totally ruined by Manta.

I can handle riding Manta a dozen times in a row, but Kraken is just so rough that once is enough for me.

What is the height requirement for this ride? This was the only one (for height requirements) that I couldn't find on the website...thanks!

We were at Sea World on Sunday and Monday and the kids rode Manta about 6 times, the longest wait was 45 minutes but most of the time it was about 15 minutes, most of the time Kracken was walk on or less than 10 minutes.

I read 54 inches - have been measureing son daily -now 53in. but wants to go on badly.

I agree. We were there the first day of Spooktacular and the wait time stated 10 min but didn't even wait that long. Now this is the last weekend of Spook so it may be a little more crowded. Get there early to ride cuz the festivities don't start til later. You'll be good.

Give my fins a nice rub down, missin em. Hopin to head back November.

I was there in september and there wasnt a queue for it any time i was there.

Wow,you are so opposite me,Kraken is the one coaster I think I can ride all day, every day,it's like going 60 mph in a Lay-Z-Boy, I think it's one of the smoothest rides out there.Manta on the other hand is probably a bit less extreme overall but it does have that pretzel loop where all the G forces hit you right on your chest and can quite literally take your breath away. The rest of the ride is quite fun but that loop freaks me out.I had been on another flying coaster at Six Flags in Atlanta with Superman Ultimate Flight,so I knew what to expect as that one also has the pretzel loop but it's still not a coaster I'll do more than twice in a day.
