Thursday 10th August ~ Day 8
We got up between 7 7.30am, had breakfast in the room and left the Pop around 8.30am. Today we were off to Typhoon Lagoon. We were there at 8.45am as it was EMHs. We were given a wristband, and although they had let everyone into the Water Park, those without a wristband were held back till 9am. I found it really weird being at a water park so early, but we had a great morning. We had a good sunbathe, went on the Lazy River a couple of times and we went on the rafts where I was the only one to get absolutely soaked from the beginning of the ride till the end ~ all I saw was us getting on and getting off, much to the hysterics and amusement of the rest of the family.
We left around 12ish and went back to the Pop for showers and to get changed. We piled into the car and headed up I-Drive to Ponderosa for a late lunch/early tea. Kerry & I had steak pieces, Paul had Chicken and Steak and Becky had Fish & Chips. We all had a lovely meal, and had loads from the buffet, ice cream, different coloured jelly and cakes (well youve got to get your monies worth haven't you ?? ~ LOL).
Tonight we were going shopping. We were after some of those dreadful Crocs for Step-MIL, so we went to the Belz Mall first. We were so disappointed to see that one of the malls was being knocked down and that the other had loads of empty stores. I think the only stores we went in were the Character Corner and Claires.
Next we went to the Florida Mall. We found the Crocs in Dillards and we were amazed at how many other shoe manufacturers like Skechers and others were making the Croc-style of sandal (or whatever theyre supposed to be).
We then went to the Wal-Mart by the Florida Mall for supplies and I decided that I wanted some new straighteners as my hair was going bonkers in the heat, so we called in to the Super Target on the 192. Weve never been in there, it looks nice and new, though I thought the prices were a little cheaper at Wal-Mart. Anyway, I found some straighteners and Kerry bought herself the boxset of Scrubs season 1.
We got back to the Pop around 8pm, the girls stayed in the room to watch Scrubs and hubby & I had a few cocktails at the bar.
