Manchester, NH Disney store closing

I understand, was so sad when our local Disney Store closed

Damn, first Salem, now Manchester, this stinks. I used to take my daughter to the one in Salem almost every weekend and let her pick something out. Now I rarely even go to the malls, wish I new it was closing, I would have taken a trip up.

Bummer. I used to frequent the one in Salem and switched to the one in Manchester when Salem closed. I've definitely saved money this way since I don't get to the Manchester mall nearly as often as the Salem mall but I'm still sad. When we'd just walk around the mall, the Disney Store was a highlight and I always walked out of there with something.

Hello. Looks like lots of NH residents on this page.

I too was bummed when they closed the store in Manchester. That and the Merry-go-round (that they also got rid of) were the only 2 reasons I ever went to the Mall of NH.

I do know that they opened a new Disney Store last year at the Outlet mall in Merrimack and the Disney Store is still open at the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua. Not that either of them are very close to me but at least they still have a few in state.

Wish they would stop closing all the stores. I love being able to go and walk around in them and actually see things in person instead of just online.

What?! NO!! I am so bummed. Now I have to drive to Massachusetts.

Don't drive to massachusetts if you are going to the one at the Solomon Pond Mall. That one is closed. I have no idea why or when but it was locked up the other night when I was there

Me too. I always went to the one near me to add money to gift cards for my trips. It always seemed busy.

Spoke with a CM from Emerald Square location a few days before they closed.
All mdse was being shipping to the Braintree (South Shore Plaza) location.
No special sales. All out of work. They had a months notice about the closing.

Not quite. I just found The Disney Store at Pheasant Lane is located inside JC Penney. There is also JC Penney at the Natick Collection in Framingham MA. I think The Disney Store has a deal with JC Penney.

A friend of mine lost her job from the Nashua store closing, none of them were transferred to JCP...but JCP does have the "OK" from Disney to sell goods.

I remember some Disney stores were closed because their malls were out of business.

Just to clarify, Disney Consumer products has a deal with JC Penney, not Disneystore. For example, TDS cannot take JC Penney Disney returns, etc. JC Penney does not have Disney CMs working in the Disney section of their stores.

Went to Solomon Pond Monday to get my Disney fix and found it closed. Spoke to a CM at Wrentham Outlets who said they were given a month notice and forbidden from telling customers. She also said all merchandise is getting shipped to South Shore. Wrentham had the magical book display that was behind the counter at Solomon. What a major bummer for all!!!

So the Wrentham Outlet Disney store is closed, too? They just opened the Merrimack NH outlet, hopefully we get to keep that one!

I think it's because of malls with JC Penney. Disney Store had a deal with JC Penney. So my guess could be that's the reason why The Disney Store at Emerald Square closed. But I would be glad that The Maine Mall in South Portland Maine will have a Disney Store at their JC Penney store. But I am not sure how long The Disney Store at The Mall at Palisades Centre in West Nyack NJ will last since The Mall at Palisades Centre also has a JC Penney.There is a Disney Store at a JC Penney at Rimrock Mall in Billings, Montana, USA. On The official Rimrock Mall Facebook channel, they named their photo album: "The Disney Store at JCPenney."

Unfortunately, Disney Stores at JC Penney does not accept Disney gift cards yet, Just JCPenney gifts cards.

I know the Solomon Pond Mall location closed. But we still have Quincy, Saugus, and Wrentham. BTW, There is going to be a Disney Store at the Somerset Collection in Troy, Michigan (There used to be one at Oakland Mall in Troy Michigan but closed in 2007).
