Man overboard friday

I was also on the Wonder. Our ship was asked to assist because we were nearby when the call came in at 5am (makes sense since the Carnival and us left PC together on Thurs and were both headed to Nassau on Friday) There was a 3rd cruise ship searching, a norwegian. Also 4 container ships. On deck 9, we had to be quiet, no music or funnel vision. It was very sad to think about.

I live in Georgia. The man was from Dekalb County and sailing on the Carnival Liberty. He apparently went overboard on deck 9 at 5 a.m. Friday morning. According to reports passengers said he jumped. So sad.

I believe they have stopped the search per news alerts today.

I dont know this family but I seen that this man and his wife had small children and a go fund me page has been set up if anyone wants to help his wife and kids. My prayers are with them at this diffuct time

Yep. And the helicopter flying over the area was a constant reminder.
