A man fell while attempting to get onto Peter Pan's Flight tonight. He fell between the ride vehicles and was pinned under the next ride vehicle. The CM immediately stopped the ride and called for paramedics. The man was transported with traumatic injuries. He is in serious but stable condition.

According to a Disney spokesperson, there was no ride malfunction. The man simply fell.

My prayers are with him and his family.

How sad. I am always scared that my girls will reach down in between or something. I hope the man is OK.,

I knew you would probably get this out there before me!!!! I just saw it on FOX News, but had to rewind to get the details as I missed the first part!.

My prayers go out to the family. How awful that must have been.

yeesh! That is very freaky, and here I worry about all of the thrill rides like TOT, R&RC, SM, even Splash I won't ride because of the fright factor. Who knew that Peter Pan could be dangerous? :confused3 I pray for him and his family, very traumatic thing to happen at the best place on earth.

Sorry about that. Since I practically live on this PC and the TV is right in front of me, it doesn't take me long to respond.

Nothing to be sorry about, but as I was logging in, I thought you would probably have it covered!! I'm glad you got all the details, I was making sure I heard it right just in case!!!

I was on the phone with the emergency vet hospital, as I had to take one of my dogs in tonight and leave her for diagnosis and treatment!!! Poor poor sick puppy!

Oh my gosh that is terrible!!!! :( Let us know if you hear more about the man. I hope he's OK.

How terrible!! I am always afraid DS#2 will jump right out of our "ship" and I was afraid that is what happened!

OMG, that is so horrible, horrible for the man, horrible for his family and whoever was with him and horrible for Disney. I am saying my prayers for the man and his family. I was just in WDW and I did NOT do PP'sF but does it have that moving floor? Like in Haunted Mansion and SpaceShip Earth? I have so much difficulty walking on those moving floors....is that what the man slipped on?

So sad. Just so sad.

The man who was injured is 70 years old. He was attempting to board with his wife and granddaughter. They are guests at a WDW resort.

His condition has improved since he arrived at the hospital.

Oh gosh, that makes me so upset. My thoughts are with him and his family. Who would've thought you need to worry about PP with rides like ToT and SM? :confused3

How terrible. I feel so sad for this man and his family and my prayers are with them. I really hope that he recovers.

That is sad. I love Peter Pan's Flight. I was at Disneyland a couple of weeks ago and as I was on Peter Pan, soaring over London, I wondered what would happen if the ride caught fire. Would Disney be able to quickly and safely get people off?

By the way, the Disneyland version of Peter Pan is better than the WDW version. Darker with better special effects.

I was just on this ride last week at WDW and wondered the same thing! I was looking around and wondering how they would do an evacuation in case of an emergency--didn't even think of a fire though (thanks--I may never ride again! :scared1: ) but just a ride malfunction that would take hours to fix.

Thoughts and prayers for this man and his family.

That is awful! What a terrible thing to happen. I really feel for him and his family. My prayers will be with them all!!!

How upsetting! When we were on Peter Pan in May, the right just stopped! It wouldn't have been too bad, but I was freaking out! Our DD-9, was riding with DS-16 and his friend. No big deal, but she is legally blind and I was so afraid of how she was handling it. Of course, she did fine, but that was the second time that day DH and I were on a ride that stopped! The kids still talk about that.
I hope the man is fine and that he is able to get out of the hospital soon.

just to clear things up, big-ol-lineman is my DS. One day I will learn to see if he is logged in before I reply. I'm sure I have done to close of half of his post. :rotfl2:
