We have to drive by that place on our way to the world and my husband just said last week I bet Pete's amoeba's are in there. Unfortunately I guess he was correct. I hope the man pulls through but it is not likely in the cases I have read about.

I would guess that going to a complex like this you might think is was safe than just an 'ordinary, unmaintained lake.' So sad.

I thought it was odd at the end of the article it says this:

"Health officials are warning residents to be careful in local lakes and ponds and even poorly maintained or under chlorinated swimming pools."

Like you can go in but you just have to "be careful" and this man wasn't "careful". How can you go in and be careful about something you can't even see? I think I'll just follow Pete's advice.
