(Rockville-AP) -- A man who was firing shots inside his home in Kensington this afternoon is in police custody.
Montgomery County Police Chief Charles Moose says someone in the house called police shortly after 4 pm.
When officers got there, they found a man leaving the house. He was taken into custody and is being questioned.
Police say the man had several weapons and ammunition inside the home.
Moose says it's too early to tell if this arrest is linked to the rash of sniper shootings in the area.
Moose also says they expect that by tomorrow morning, a toll-free number will be established for all tips in the sniper case, and that the number will be handled by the Washington Field Office of the FBI.
