Has anyone seen the show Mamma Mia? I thought it was great! Loved the story, and of course, the music. Never bought any ABBA records, but I like their hits.

I have not, but my sister has. She HIGHLY recommends that I go. She's a seasoned New Yorker (well works in the city), is a tough critic, and I trust her opinion completely.

I've seen it 2 times, and would love to see it again. Such energy! Plus, I love the music!

I also loved the characters- all the women characters are so strong willed, and funny too! Sophie and Donna are great characters, also loved Donna's 2 best friends, they were both a scream!

Isn't it ending now. I thought it was going and La Cage A Folles(sp?) is going to play there soon. I never got a chance to see it, but, I did hear it was great...

It ended its run here in Philly this weekend. I do not know where its going now. I think it will be back though, since it has already returned back here at least once.

My friend, Rod Weber is in the Broadway National Tour of the production. You probably saw him this weekend if he was in that particular cast.:hyper:

We saw it last summer. It was really good except I think we maybe caught it on an off night - the mother character was very dull, no expressions at all. I know from seeing the previews that it's not usually like that. What can you do, they can't be perfect every night. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed it, it was just missing that WOW factor that night. Unfortunately, if it's going to cost our family $500 to see it, we probably won't be able to give it another try. Maybe if we catch it on TKS line someday.....

I LOVED it too. Saw it in Las Vegas in Sept. I would highly recommend it as well. Had to get ABBAs CD as soon as I got home! LOL.

I saw it in Las Vegas a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it! I can't wait until the touring production comes to Richmond in May because I want to go see it again.

Yes I did! He's in my playbill listed as part of the ensemble!

Yep, the fiance & I saw it in Vegas. We loved it so much we went back to see it again the next night. We also saw in last year in Los Angeles (I personally liked the Vegas cast/production better). I have the soundtrack on my iPod and listen to it often. Great show!!

I saw it and I'm pretty sure it's now my favorite musical. It was funny and the music, well, for a 70's girl, it was alot of fun.:D

Love it!! :teeth:

My sister had already seen it 2X when it played in Boston at the end of the summer. My DD and I went with her about a week before DD left for her freshman year in college. We had a blast and I would love to see it again. DD wants to go again too, this time maybe get some of her friends and their moms to come too, for a "girls treat" I bought a Soundtrack CD and am still playing it all the time.

To be honest...I enjoyed it more than I enjoyed the Lion King a few weeks earlier:o

lovelovelovelovelove it!

it's the most fun I've had at a musical. The story line isn't particularly profound or moving, but the music is so much fun, I had ABBA in my head for days!

DH and I saw it on tour in New Orleans 1-2 years ago and loved i!. It was a blast!! I went home and ordered an ABBA greatest hits CD from Amazon and I'm still listening to it!!
