we're trying Mama Melrose's for the first time for dinner in late Jan. Do you have any menu favorites or food/drink that we should avoid?
i'm thinking the Fra Diavolo, Sangria, Tiramisu, & flatbread look good. What do you think? What else to order? We're a party of 7 & like to sample the menu (4 adults, 3 kids). Any kid recommendations?

Thanks.

The penne alla vodka are outstanding, the caesar salad is very good, we loved the calamari, I really like this restaurant, and the prices are fairly reasonnable.....

Sadly I was very dissapointed with Mama melrose. The food was mediocre and our server was awful! (the only rude person we delt with the whole time we were there!) The desert was excellent. (I think it was a cheesecake)

Mama Melrose is one of our favorites. We like the Caesar Salad, 4 cheese flat bread, pepperoni flat bread (minus the peppers and onions), penne alla vodka and chicken parm.

The only thing we didnt like was the mixed green salad, only because we dont care for that kind of "lettuce". I actually did like the dressing and cheese on it, but couldn't eat the weeds. ;)

2nd the penne a la vodka. Its wonderful. I'm not to keen on the caesar salad as it comes traditional style in a huge iceburg triangle with not enough dressing. I had the Coffee Tartufo for dessert, which if you are a coffee fan its heaven on earth. Its like drinking the best cup of coffee while munching on a Ferrero Rocher.

We ate a Fantasmic dinner there last week and every member ordered something different. All samples from each plate were scrumptious.

Very good food.

Another vote for the penne alla vodka and 4 cheese flatbread!!! Yum. I've been craving it ever since.

We really liked everything we tried! We did the salmon, sausage and peppers, chicken penne, and one other one I can't remember! The flatbread appetizer was also good (we got one with chicken and carmelized onions). Desserts were pretty good - I think most of us got the chocolate one.

Good service, too. I guess it's like any other restaurant - you will occasionally experience bad service and not-too-good food. But our experience (a month ago) was great!

We loved Mama Melrose. My husband tried the Fra Diavolo and went nuts over it. I had the Wood-fired Chicken and Pasta. It was delish!!
We loved the desserts too. Tiramisu for me and a warm chocolate cake with ice cream for the DH. Deb

Another vote for the penne ala vodka--so disappointed that they don't serve it at lunch. Also liked the flatbread.

The chicken flatbread is one of my favorite WDW foods.
