Mama Melrose or Tutto Italia

I have found Mama Melrose to be more Italian American style fast food with a very heavy hand on herbs.

Tutto tries to be more Italian and less fast food type.

I enjoy Mama's more, as it is an all around better environment. From consistent good food and service and ambiance, I prefer Mama's. There is certainly a difference..Disney Themes Mama's as California Italian, where Tuttu is supposed to be Old Country Italian Food. Both need to Americanize things so they can please the masses..

I voted for Mama Melrose. Tutto has really great food, but MM is just more fun!!! The theming makes me really happy. The food's yummy, but not very authentic!

For us neither is very good. When we want Italian at WDW we dine at Il Molino.

Why on earth would this be a good thing? The last thing Central Florida needs (let alone Disney) is another homogenized Italian restaurant. The Italian pavillion in Epcot deserves better than Olive Garden and Macaroni Grill.

To the OP, Tutto is the better of the two restaurants, but Il Mulino is in another category altogether.

I really liked Tutto Italia - especially the desserts. I ate once at Mama Melrose's a while back and really don't remember it - which, for me, usually means it was neither awful nor wonderful. At Tutto's the braised short ribs were excellent.

I agree with the majority here, Tutto is a family favorite for us and a must do. We tried MM a few trips back and we all HATED it. It is one of those never again places for us. The waitress was pretty rude and unfriendly and the food was not good. Like it has been said, MM has been Americanized.

we have been to Tutto lots of times. It is so classy, it's unreal. The decor, the professional cast members in their suits/tuxes. It's almost too much.. i always feel so underdressed in my park clothes. It could easily be a 2TS. The food matches the style, it is wonderful. The fancy dressed men come around and ask if you want them to crack fresh pepper on your food or sprinkle parmesean. Classy! Mama Melrose's we ate at once and wouldnt go back. The menu online wasnt the same as the restaurants..and we checked it before we left (online) and when we got home and it was the same, yet the restaurants was different.. dissappointing b/c i love eggplant parmesean. I had to get a steak instead.. which was charred... good but burnt. Atmosphere was not classy, more relaxed and fun, like a pizzaria place. Good service, but no upscale feeling.

Tutto used to be a must-do for us, and a family favorite. However, they recently changed their menu and it is not so good anymore.

So I recommend Mama Melrose.

We love MM and usually go every trip because of the fantasmic package. I also wanted to try an italian place in epcot. They no longer have the braised short ribs on the menu as figment quoted about. So since Tutto Italino menu cant keep everyone in my family happy we opted for Via Napoli. But if you go to Tutto try the lasagna and let us know how it was. Thats what I really wanted was their lasagna. I has gotten great reviews.

Tutto is more authentic italian. Mama Melrose is more like olive garden.
