I have reservations in March (very crowded, I know) at Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic! dining package. I am having difficulty figuring out if this is a different menu than the non-Fantasmic! menu or if it is the same. If it is different, does anyone know where I can find it? I am also not clear on the price (understanding there can be a spring break mark-up), but think it is about $45/adult? Final question, if I have 12 and 15 year olds, can they eat from the kids menu (understanding if there is a fixed price menu they may need to pay adult prices). Thanks for any help. I did a search and couldn't find the answer!

I won't speak to pricing, but you select 3-courses from the normal menu.

Disney will always let an adult select from the children's menu….especially if they paid for an adult.

The two times I have done it [which was recently], we were able to order from the regular menu, including flatbreads being treated as an appetizer. BUT, we were not allowed to order from the dessert menu - we were delivered three mini-desserts of the restaurant's choice. That is the standard policy - which is my only issue with the package. I would like to order my own dessert. :cutie:

We also have reservations for the mama melrose F! Package in 3 weeks! I called Disney to find out the price. It's 47.92 for adults and $19.16 for kids under 10. It includes appetizer, entree and dessert.

I've heard that if you don't like something that's part of the dessert trio or if you like one of the items a lot, you can request to have all 3 of the same thing.
Not sure if that helps but one lady on another post was really happy about that. :)

Does that include the tax and tip? Are you there during a holiday period? It just seems a little high, but I don't remember what we paid in June. And thanks for the tip about the dessert. I could always ask what is on it before they bring it out.

It includes the tax but not the tip. The price might slide depending on the time of year. We are going on nov 22. The allears website had the adult price at $38 but the price of $48 was given when I called disney a few days ago.

I bet it went up recently from the $38. The disneyworld website states it is $44.99 which when you add in 6.5% tax is the $47.92 price you were quoted.

Fantasmic package is still a great deal even if paying OOP [and even better if using 1 DDP credit]. I figure if you get a flatbread, steak, dessert and drink, individual prices add up to $58.66 before tax.

Do children get an app as well or just the adults?

We did the package last week and we were able to pick our appetizer and our main course..but they brought out a trio of dessert items. I wish we could have chose something else. I was not impressed with the dessert. The main course was really good. I had the chicken parmigiana, but they could have put a little more dressing on my ceasar salad. I would do it again though.

I'm hoping to reserve this tomorrow for our May visit.
So - from the menu, you select one appetizer, one entrée, and get the standard dessert?
Are beverages of any kind included?

The $47.92 price is correct, the prices went up in October.

The price includes a non-alcoholic drink, any appetizer, any entree, and the dessert trio.

An adult can order off the kids menu but would still pay the adult price - which makes for a very expensive kids meal! You could always ask and see if they can make an adult portion of a kids entree, or make a dish more simple.

As a PP mentioned, older kids can order from the kids' menu. But, beware that the kids' portions are very small. We had better luck with modifying an adult meal at Mama Melrose for DD. They were more than happy to oblige her request to leave the cheese and meat off her pasta, leaving her with a boring plate of ziti and sauce. She was thrilled! I'm sure they could also leave all the 'stuff' off one of the flatbreads leaving you with a plain cheese pizza, too. Or some such similar modification.

We have a lunch ADR for Mama Melrose Fantasmic package. I was able to grab a dinner Minnie Holiday Dine Fantasmic package. Does anyone know if you can drop the Fantasmic package when you check in for the ADR at Mama Melrose or would you have to cancel the ADR and search for a Mama Melrose ADR without Fantasmic? Thanks.

You would definitely need to drop the Fantasmic package and reserve as a normal meal in order to avoid the $47.92 charge. BUT, even if you no longer need the fantasmic seating, if you know you are going to want an appetizer, entree and dessert and would most likely order expensively, you would still come out ahead.

Then again, I would not want both of those ADRs in one day [if that's what you meant].

Thanks for the reply. Yes, that's what I meant. I thought about just having a flatbread at Mama Melrose instead of a whole meal since we have the Minnie buffet later that afternoon. The CS options at HS are not the best.
