Good morning campers! I know it seems like I am the luckiest person around (maybe I am) but we are at the fort again, well almost, with Mallory. We had a few vacation days left and we wanted to take out the rig, I said we have to go south, so disney was the easiest.

We left yesterday morning around 10, but we got up early to pick up the rig from storage. This was the first time we left on Saturday morning. It meant we could drive most of the day and stay overnight at a new campground. We are at Ocala North a RV park. It is fine. Lots of fabulous Xmas decorations and nods to disney. I will see if any of my pics turned out.

It's a chilly morning here, after coffee will take the dogs for a walk. Hopefully out by 10 and should be at the fort around noon.

I sure hope we have some doggies to play with at the park. Mallory is looking forward to it. Yes we have yeti with as well. He was very excited to get in the rig yesterday.

Have a safe trip and enjoy the fort.

Was out this morning getting my 4 week before the Mickey miles and saw a few really nice meteors. It was a cold 45F so maybe good prep for next month.

have a good time. i didn't even decorate my house this year. just a little bit outside but nothing inside. i'll be waiting for some pictures of the decorations. :)

Let us know what site you get, the Corgis would like to say HI.....Mike

Hi Mike, can't wait to see the corgis. We are in 716. Perfect as the CS walkway is behind us last time we looked out on it and we had a bit of barking.

I got a 6 mile loop in while I let hubby set up. I felt bad leaving him the work but wanted a run. I did help him clean the front of the rig when I was done.

The plan was to go to DHS tonight but I think we are going to be lazy. Hoping to get the dogs to the dog park, and then get some dinner, then walk around and check out the sites.

Yeti is already having fun chasing geckos.

Welcome and yes you are very lucky. Hope you have lots of propane, nights here have been chilly. We arrived on Dec.9th and are in Site 402.
I have noticed that there doesn't appear to be as many decorations as usual but perhaps more will be added as Christmas nears.

Hi Boomer. Hope we cross paths we usually walk in the 400 loop so you might see us. Mal is very recognizable.

I am hoping I can figure out how to post more than one pic in this thread. If not will just add another post. So this pic is from a nicely decorated site at Ocala north rv park.

Today we actually had to work. We got our cable modem on Sunday so we were hooked up and good to go. We really like our site. It has a large pad and good shade. Here is a pic of the dogs out front. While the camera had some sun we did not. I sat in the chair in the afternoon and worked.

After work we cooked at the rig and then went to MK. It was open till midnight.

Holy insanity batman. The place was packed. We had a FP for the jingle cruise. It was cute. We took some pics of the castle and went to Mizner's lounge for a cocktail. Some disney pics, you might make out the crowds.

It was a good night. Caught the boat from contemporary to the fort just as wishes was going off. We had our own free fireworks cruise. All was good until we got home and hubby misplaced something. He is out now retracing steps. Let's hope for some pixie dust to find it.

It's Tuesday. We went to MK this afternoon. It was much calmer than Monday night. Lines but not crazy. The weather was beautiful. Came back and put the good weather to productive use and did some trimming and cleaning on mal. It is not attractive but necessary to keep her clean.

Next we went to dinner at Citricos. It was fabulous. We both had the short ribs, hit the spot in this cooler weather. Dessert was a red velvet cupcake from the GF gingerbread house.

Took the dogs for a walk in mal's bedazzled cart. Only pic I have today.

The morning started with a run. Am training for goofy in 4 weeks. Training is not going well. My knee is hurting now so may have to not run tomorrow. We are keeping tomorrow laid back. We hope to do Soarin (if we make our FP) and then hit DHS to see the Osborne lights.

Oh and DH lost his phone last night but found it at Contemporary. It was all good except that he got back at 12:30. I am never up that late, so am ready for bed.

Following along, looking forward to more!

I requested 700 loop for our trip, would love to see more pics of your site if you are able

Well I had typed up a nice long winded recap of yesterday and I got dropped. I lost it. So now everyone will get the short version, which you might enjoy more.

We had a FP for Soarin at 2:20 to 3:20. We left the rig at 1:45. Using Disney buses we got to Soarin at 3:18. I have to say I detest Disney buses. It was 30 min for an epcot bus to show up and then the second Epcot bus showed up right behind that. We got to ride Soarin though.

Next it was out the international gateway to the friendship boats to go to DHS. We sat at the outdoor brow derby bar for dinner and drinks. We then enjoyed the lights. MK was open late so I hoped all the crowds would be there and they were. It was very pleasant at the lights. We stayed an hour, usually the crowds have us leaving after 2 songs.

Then it was back to feed dogs and eat a cupcake.

I will get some pics of the site today. I really love this site and the 700 loop.

Same thing happened to us with the Epcot bus last December. Next time took the boat to Contemporary hopped the monorail and landed in Epcot in about 30 minutes. Much better. Love the pic of Mal........we will be there in 22 days for two weeks with Webster and Buster our Toy poodle and Cavalier King Charles. They LOVE the Fort !!! Enjoy the rest of your time and keep the reports coming.

Yeah we were not happy about the trip to epcot. Agree whip boat to contemporary and then monorail would have been better. Sometimes we rent a car, but since we were at the fort in nov and again jan, we decided not to rent this trip.

Here are some pics of the site. We really like this spot.

Looks like I left off Thursday afternoon. After some lounging and fixing of bikes, we decided to head to epcot. We rode our bikes from 700 loop to the front bus stop. That was bettering than walking. It still took a while to get back to our destination, dinner at Shula's. It was awesome, I had the filet and DH had the Kansas city cut. After dinner we walked back to candlelight processional and then illuminations with the holiday tag. I know they replaced Walter Cronkite but I thought the new fireworks (at least they seemed new) were great.

Today we headed to AK. We only stayed a couple of hours but wow lots of construction walls. We came back to the fort, again using our bikes to get to the bus, have I mentioned that was a fabulous idea. Next we did some packing. We had dinner at trail' end. Now on to walk dogs. Then some more packing, we leave tomorrow.

As expected the fort is really picking up today. Can't wait to see the lights.

Hi Kris, Really like your new rig we came by a couple of times but missed you guys both times. Glad we got a chance to say Hi that night but would have loved to have said Hi to Mallory and met Yeti. I know you guys are coming back for the Marathon maybe we can get together then. We did see you guys in the dog park one day but were leaving for somewhere, Mallory looks awesome and is getting around great. We know the challenges first hand that you go through ever day with her but we know the love you guys have for her and we have thought of all of you often since we first met. Keep us posted when you are coming back and we will see you then....Mike

Hi Mike, I was hoping we would run into you on one of our walks but at least we got to chat Sunday, and you caught a glimpse of her. She is doing well. Am still always worried about her bladder. I think it is basically closed and she only goes when we express her. I only think this because she is having less accidents in the house during the day.

We will be back on Sunday Jan 4. Hopefully you are still around. We are staying until Sunday jan 18. We usually leave on sat but that day is my bday. It is just wrong to leave disney on your bday. That first week we should be at the campgrounds a lot. We are actually working remotely and will be cooking most of those nights.

Hope you have a good trip.

Oh and mal is getting better with the drive. She finally slept yesterday during some of the drive. The other times she is always head up. I thought it was to look out the window.

Hi Kris, we will still be here so we will follow your next trip report as to where you end up at for your site, seems like you really liked 716 so call the Fort at 5 or 6 days before arriving and request it again and see what happens. Travel safe on your return and we will see you then. Mike
