Hi!!!

Happy almost weekend!! We had double Big Gives and we started our Countdown calendar!!! 30 days to go!!

First up a Big Give!! Take a look at how things unfolded:

Look what we got!!

This Big Give was sent to us by PurpleEars! These are jewelry bags for me and Mallory. What a great and creative idea!! We already put our new jewelry in them. So that is the very 1st of our packing!! We love them!! And we love that they have Minnie and our names on them. Plus how fun for Mom and Mallory to have matching bags. Thank SO much PurpleEars!!

After Mallory's Ballet and tap dance class she opened her next Big Give.

Here's how things went:

This lovely nightgown was from Smileycrissy!! Mallory loves Ariel so the second she saw Ariel the screaming, squealing, and jumping up and down started. She just loves her new PJs. She sleeping in them as we speak. She just couldn't wait for the wish trip. THANKS Smileycrissy!! You made one little girl very happy!! You sent some special magic to our house and for that we are so grateful!!

Finally, today we started our countdown calendar. DH made it and it is so cute. It is a Mickey head with one of her favorite treats attached to each day. So each day she will get to pull off one treat and we will be one day closer to DisneyWorld!! Yay!!

I am so glad she loved her jammies. I know my nieces (they are about Mallory's age) love having new jammies when they go to Disney so I thought she would too.

Well today we got another package in the mail!! This is simply amazing. We are so touched by the kindness and generosity that has been shown to use! Everyone involved with the Big Give is amazing!!!!

Here is what was inside...

It was a beautiful scrapbook!!

Not only was it a beautiful album, but it came with an amazing set of cards based on each place we will visit.

Here is Mallory's excitement when she saw the cards

And here's when she saw the Rudolph one for the Give Kids the World Christmas Party.

Next up the amazing set of cards personalized to each place we will go on our trip.

This Big Give was sent to us by WDWMICKEY. Everyone at the house LOVED it. My son who is 15 just couldn't get over how great it was. He even brought his friend in to see it!! As we looked through the cards we couldn't wait to start setting it up. It came complete with everything we need to easily make a beautiful keepsake. We could not believe how personalized it was with Mallory's favorite rides, favorite characters, and favorite princesses!! My son said to give the sender of this package extra thank you's! So thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you WDWMICKEY!! You are awesome!! We LOVE LOVE LOVE it and will treasure it forever!!

Sorry I haven't posted as much as I would have loved to ..... work gets in the way and it was an extra stressful week last week.

I love all the Big Give presents, such wonderful gifts and you are right, that scrapbook is incredible! Quite some talented DISers out there!

Hi

I have a quick question. For those of you who have been on wish trips already... What are your feelings about the GKTW theme nights.

We are going during Presidents week so the parks are open later. From reading TR it seems that the theme nights are a highlight of the trip. We are a ride loving family, so part of me thinks stay at the parks. The other part of me wants to leave early take Mallory to the theme nights at GKTW.

Please share your experiences with me? What is your advice here?

We are leaving for GKTW on Friday. We went there 10 years ago with one of my other sons - ALL 3 of my boys have a mitochondrial disease. The boys now are all teenagers the twins will be 14 in March and Jake 18 in April - so the first time we did some of the theme nights and Clay loved the carousel - HOWEVER, this time we will most likley pass on most theme nights UNLESS we make it an early night - namely because the boys love rides, rollercoasters, etc. BUT we will aslo play it by ear. Normally we are an early riser early to bed family - so that will play into things.

As Mallory is only 5 I am positive she will love all the theme parties and something to plan on at least one
