Maliboomer

I noticed it was really close to coming down last week. They had it wrapped up but that was to enclose the scaffholding as they started dissasembly work.

Never rode it - did I miss anything?

I am sad to see the Maliboomer go. I had a great time riding it and there was this great older man that worked on it and loved to see people scream when it took off. He would do a countdown and they always took off before he got to 1!

I should have known it wouldn't last long, there was never any line to get on it.

What are they replacing it with?

They have signs up saying they are replacing it with a greenbelt/park area.

It looks to be "at the moment" a picnic area, essentially a dining place for the restaurant going in next door.

I say "at the moment" because there has been other plans for the area. I'm hoping the parachute drop that was once planned makes it's way there.

We were there in January and noticed it was GONE! I like it. Always had a fun time finding someone to go with me though. We were going to look in the Blue Sky place to see what the future brings for the parks. But ran out of time on the trip.

Does anyone know if there are plans for a similar ride?

thanks
Geemo

Thank goodness no. MB represented everything wrong with DCA. A cheap off-the-shelf ride with zero Disney theming or magic.
